VSM Thursday Nights are about to change forever... 2/28/13

For almost 2 years, Thursday nights have meant MK and VSM.​

VSM has been quiet recently, but things are about to change...

February 28, 2013 will mark the beginning of the start of something HUGE.

Mortal Kombat, Injustice(in April), Marvel, Street Fighter, SFxT, Tekken, KOF, VF, SC and others... will all be brought to you bi-montly by the joint forces of:

Kombat Network and VSM will bring MK and Injustice to you and KPB will bring all your other fighting game needs! Feel free to come and play and take part or watch either stream and enjoy the competitive spirit!​

We've been looking to have an all inclusive community there for a while. Rodney and the rest of the KPB players bring that... and it's going to be great to continue to help the scene on Long Island continue to grow and have a place for more players to come and play more games.

So, there will be two streams coming out of Gamer's Edge every other Thursday night starting the 28th?

Yessir! The KN Stream and the KPB stream!

KN will feature mostly MK and Injustice, while KPB will focus on SF, Marvel, KOF, SC, VF, and others!

Good to hear, I just hope mk will be streamed/given more time on stream than the other games (mainly because VSM started as an mk stream). Hopefully this can build up more views, and benefit the scene there.

EDIT: Just saw there will be two steams lol. Sorry phil, should have read earlier. :oops:

Once Injustice hits, we'll be doing more Injustice than MK at first... but we will always make time to stream some MK!

Yeah, VSM/KPB Thursdays are going to be AMAZING.

Also, I want to officially confirm that CLASSY SASQUATCH will be returning to NY just before Winter Brawl... and we can expect to see him back at VSM!

You guys don't even know how happy this makes me. I live in New Paltz and ever since I started learning MK9 this summer I've wanted to come down and play with you guys. Much respect for VSM.

I just have 2 questions:

1) I'm not terrible at this game, but I am pretty new and I only have experience playing against one dude offline, and he's a lot better than me. I have trouble doing things like AAing cross-ups and fuzzying high-low bullshit, but I take the game seriously and know the frame data and tech and stuff and wanna improve. I'm definitely gonna be grinding out some losses if I go to VSM, it shouldn't be absolutely brutal but I will most likely lose the majority of the matches I play. Will people be nice and wanna teach me what I'm doing wrong or will I just be on blast?
2) How does VSM feel about the Rax? :D
Seriously though. The commentary on 90% of the Cyrax matches on Youtube are impassioned diatribes about how he's cheap as all hell and people should feel bad for playing him.

1. The players at VSM are always helpful and will work with you the help you level up. That's the basis of VSM... before it's a team, it's a place where you can come and play/level up in a fun and safe atmosphere where you won't be made to feel bad or feel like you're being judged as a player.
