VSM Thursday Nights are about to change forever... 2/28/13

By all means... anyone is welcome at VSM. Starting on 2/28, we'll be doing VSM/KPB Thursdays twice a month, usually every other week, and we'll be posting a monthly schedule as well. Right now we're looking at:

February:
28th

March:
14th
28th

If things change, we will update our schedule and post it on the forum.

I only have experience playing against one dude offline, and he's a lot better than me.

Groove is being hella modest here. We're both lacking in the experience department because there are very few people to play in the New Paltz/Catskills area of New York. That being said, I'm super fucking hype for this.

I'm looking forward to playing people who can make us level up. I think I speak for both me and Groove when I thank you guys in advance for the opportunity to do this. Also, I'm going to apologize in advance for being a ps3 pad player. I promise to be a good boy and turn off my controller after matches.

I didn't see an exact time for the event, and I work on Thursday nights, so I can't guarantee I can be there "on time" or some shit. I can probably get there at earliest around 8:30 or so (unless Groove ain't comin' with me). Or I decide that my Thursday classes can get out early and give my students a break if they promise to pick up MK in the extra time. Either way. It's about a 2 hour drive from where we are, but an hour for me to go pick up Groove first.

Even if I can't make it for the start of an official event or something, I'd really like to make it down for casuals and to level up and meet everyone. Hope to see you guys there!

This isn't a tournament, this VSM starting up our Thursday Casuals again. We've been gone for a while... people went their own way, doing their own things. Recently though, people have wanted to get back to it and I'm ready for it as well... not to mention that Injustice is around the corner and people are going to need a place to come play and level up for that!

It's still the VSM crew you know and love carrying the best of MK and Injustice (coming soon) and where we come in is to provide you with the other FGC titles. Whatever you guys like. We like to start off with some KOF & AE, perhaps SFXT, and based on attendance we can change up the titles as needed. Just reiterate what Rodney said... (which in itself was a reiteration of what I said, LOL), This is VSM Thursday Night Casuals.

When we started back on May 18, 2011, we had about 4 MK setups, a stream and 2 other setups which were generally used for either AE or Marvel.

KPB provides a few things. First, they're my friends, LOL... They're also an established FGC group with members who play a diverse set of games outside of just MK(but MK is definitely included in the games they play) and will help provide a the community with another venue to come play more games, level up, have fun, hang out and meet new players...

Seriously though. The commentary on 90% of the Cyrax matches on Youtube are impassioned diatribes about how he's cheap as all hell and people should feel bad for playing him.

Cyrax is the VSM poster boy. VSM is home to the cheapest cyrax's on the planet.

I've also heard that Chin might be there... Chin is a skilled UMK3 player who consistently kicks my ass in UMK3 in tournament, LOL. If he is there, I'll have to get some matches in with him tonight.
