i'll give it a look....tho seriously dynasty warriors is super repetative and mindless x-x, i wish they would make a Fist of the North star game that WASNT pretty much a clone of that :/
It's gotten a lot better over the years. But Warriors Orochi specifically has a lot more depth and variety.
WO3U has 145 playable characters, with every character having a unique move set and super (Musou). You always have 3 characters when battling, and can cycle between them or even have them all fighting at once. You can combo between them as well. Pop up an enemy with one character, then cancel into character switch which brings out the character with a unique move to continue the combo. There's a new button too, R1, which is basically an EX attack for each character. It uses a part of your super meter, and each characters is unique and they all have a grounded one and an air one.
There's a level up feature as well, along with equipable items and weapons. The max level is 100, but after you get to 100, you get 2 more slots for items and have the choice to "promote" the character. This is like prestige mode in CoD. The character goes back to 1, but gains an additional ability. They also now have attribute points you can distribute when they level up. It gives the game a lot of replay value.
Not to mention the weapons system. You have 5 levels of weapons. 1star, 2star, 3star, 4star and the 5th star Mystical Weapons. There's also true 4 star weapons that you synthesize, aka create with materials. Each weapon can have 8 different abilities attached to it, and there's a wide variety to choose from. Such as adding bolt damage, or adding osmosis which makes it to where all your charge attacks build meter.
It's definitely not boring and repetitive like the old Dynasty Warriors. There's a lot more depth and a lot more characters to choose from. Not to mention the story lines are great and vast.
