Valley Stream Monsters Thursday Night Casuals at The Gamers Edge in Valley Stream, NY

Was hoping to make it tonight but it doesn't look like it. Definitely making it next week though! This will be my first tourney type event ever so I'm pretty pumped even if I'm just getting my ass kicked lol.

9.95 is the madcatz fightpad allowed for xbox 360 or does this run on PS3 only?

Also I can get there rather early if you ever need a hand setting up, I don't mind.

It's a weekly casual get together, but I uisually run a friendly tournament as well. We have some of the better players on LI who come so the competition is top notch, especially when we have players like REO, Dark Rob, Scoot MaGee and Sabin there...

As far as the pad you use, we have some house PS3 pads, but we always have one setup on 360 for those players as well.

Rapzilla you and I can slum it on the 360 until my new hybrid stick is finished, lol.
Seriously though there are enough sticks to go around that you'll have a chance to play on all the setups. It's a BYOS scene but I've found the MK community is relatively open to controller sharing... everyone and their mother has a stick optimized for capcom games, but the MK-friendly setups are few and far-between! So the key MK people recognized that and are more willing to share, as a way to help the MK scene grow... at least that's my theory on the psychology of it all.

hahaaha sounds good man. Yeah I have the madcatz fightpad and its so much better than the 360 controller IMO, I love the 6 button lay out. I don't own a PS3 so I'd have to borrow someones.

Keep in mind that we do play to at least midnight, sometimes later... so you should def. swing by no matter what.

That was a thought I had. How late exactly is "later"? I dont drive so I would have to take the LIRR to the Valley Stream stop. Commute is at least an hour from. Honestly, the biggest hurdle for me is getting there and having enough time to play.

Now if you are talking play till 4am, then I would def hop on that train. I just don't wanna commute and only have time to play for 45mins, ya know?

Girl? Just drop her off at the Green Acres Mall. Girls like malls right? She can shop for shoes and cleaning products while you play lots of MK. Problem solved.

Reo thanks for those Johnny Cage beat downs ( I was the first dude you played who was Reptile), always learn more from losing than winning. Time to hit the lab and see if theres a chink in JCs armor somewhere lol GGs.

I also want to give a shoutout to Riu48 for making it out to Valley Stream yet again. This guy comes all the way to LI from I believe Rockchester? Also hes got a really beast Kitana and Johnny Cage and hes just an all around chill, down to earth nice guy.
