I also had someone do this to me on xbox live without quick uppercuts on with Johnny Cage. Could this mean that there is more than one way for each character? This was about a year ago as well. I was astonished when it happened too.

So far 6 of 7 show a correspondence between the button used for the Toasty Boost input and their position on the char select screen, maybe Sheeva is an exception due to that in her row there are two slots to Cyber sub, who knows.

This can actually benefit certain characters. Lets look at characters that end B&B's with Uppercuts (And it doesn't reduce damage), Milleena for example.

She can end any combo in B14 Uppercut, because its muscle memory and her combos are easy, you should be able to think ahead of the uppercut, and be ready to dial your boost code as soon as you see ''toasty''.

Its very possible, and you have absolutely nothing to lose by doing this, unless you absolutely have to end with :ex Neckbite for that extra 2% AND positioning, (first round win for example).

Toasty is not the consecuence of an uppercut but a "super high impact".
A "super high impact" can be an uppercut, a kombo finisher or even some special moves.
This is the same as it was in old 2d mks, where you can get toasty with a kung lao spin, etc.

I'm saying you get the "toasty" randomly after a "super high impact". That's the name developers gave for that kind of move.
Uppercuts are "super high impact", but for example you can get toasty in mk2 with kung lao spin or after some kombo in umk3, or after the "hey hey hey" kabal kombo in mk9. All these moves are "super high impact" not just the uppercuts.

im already on it bro! Ive got the best MK modder around about to make me a custom cheat file! One of my requests will be a toasty hack! This guy literally just messeged me 10 mins ago. He is very keen to work with me on this. i just hope we can get it up and running.

very nice to hear! i really don't know many skilled modders so that definitely saves me a world of trouble. hopefully he can get it done. that toasty voice clip will surely get ANNOYING after a while though ! :p

haha so true! Ill probably have to mute it after a while..

Some of the stuff this guy can do is crazy! He is basically going to open the door to a whole new level of combos for me. Should be very interesting in the next couple of months!

Scorp brought the hype, yet we still dont know the commands. This is awkward... I was pretty pissed to find out my bbd1 input was wrong. so is ffd1. All i pressed was bbd1, so i don't know why it's not working. Will try ffd1 again someday..

Might have something to do with the fact that you were in the corner, it may have read some of the inputs from the last dash/uppercut that sent him over your back.
