Works well until you realize people like Torr exist in this game. I had a Kano try to parry me once I got in close. He got me the first 2 times with the high parry, and then I just started grabbing his shit for 23%. And then I played slicer, found out you could stack cuts in that build of the game, and nailed a 52% command grab after dropping about 25% of my health.

Anyways from what I saw, his parries are actually really REALLY good. They have good active frames, and they aren't near as bad on whiff as I thought they would be.

Especially in a game where the faster moves aren't extremely fast as of yet, and a lot of characters' high/low game is still being worked out, his parry is a godsend. Not perfect, but a good pair of eyes should be able to slink in some good stuff. Wrecks the everloving shit out of lackey mode.
Oh I don't doubt the other grapplers will be a challenge, but don't doubt my defence. I'll only parry when it's necessary.

But jeez, Torr does sound like your character. 52%?! That's some Bane shit right there...

From what I heard they'll probably remove cut stacking. Too much damage, too little trade. Something to that effect, it was a lot.
Double cut X ray basically gimped anyone you'd happen to be fighting. One cut gives you whats basically level 2 venom, and 35% (give or take) is nothing to sneeze at. Its time-based rather than "on next hit" which is what Kotal does from what I could tell, so its only really good when you can get pressure going.

That's why I advised to use MB grab advantage to buff up since the scaling is a bit harsh on MB grab anyways and it ensures you'll probably have time to keep the pressure on. I like slicer the most, but Kotal feels like he is a better character since he has range and can buff up like that whenever.

Well unless Fujin gets revealed I'm taking Commando Kano to the extreme first. NOONE will EVER open me up if I use everything correctly, and you know how it goes with dem reactions...

To be honest, I was so taken by the visuals that I forgot the first half of it. He does something to hit them into the air (a knee to the face, maybe? Total guess). They then fly into the Sky. Raiden emerges from the clouds below. Everything is very dark. Really god damned cool. The graphics and frame rate had me in awe. Streaming quality really does this game NO justice. Anyways. He hits them back towards the ground somehow(I think this may involve electricity). They bounce off the ground facing up and Raiden comes up a few feet off the ground below them and delivers a knee to the spine. My buddy mained him at the event so I'm going to consult him ASAP and find out.

BF1 with Cassie Cage was air guns. I was using Hollywood variation so I'm not sure if it was exclusive. Looked a lot like Deathstroke. Maybe a few more shots? Was definitely double guns.

There isn't a female character which her playstyle attracts my eyes yet, mean while i'm really looking forward to scorpion.

the things i'm going to do with this character, so far has some very good stuff and there is also a down side in a few things according to the last data (PAX and Casselman)

The ability to cancel his teleport has been confirmed to be on any of his variation
Hellish Spear hit stun was nerfed (i will show this with a comparative video later)

But still:

Ninjutsu variation give scorpion a command overhead, a command launcher, aside from his usual strings, with the ability to cancel his teleports and hopping over low attacks with a (bonsho kick) roundhouse kick the mixups out of resets will be very good, not only that his ranged attacks are also good.

This variation seems to be the only one with the overhead starter, so playing vortexes with this scorpion is almost the same as in MK9, due the low and overhead mixup

Hellfire has more options for chip damage and actually switch between mid range and close quarters kombat, the flame aura increases his damage and chip output, while in this same variation he is capable of cancel his strings into flame ball (hell ball) which can be dash canceled or let it rock. not to mention that his tele also doesn't have tracking so in good spaces scorpion should be able to cancel his strings into teleport safely against characters or variations that don't have long range tool.

Inferno is more of zoning, but scorpion is still scorpion, teleports and tele-cancels are still there, low starter is still there, and he has a few more tools on his arsenal like the summoning who seems to be designed to limit oponnents options to move because his demons will be all over the place, so its more like cyrax in MK9 where his bombs were all over the place and forced ppl to throw projectiles to limit this option, but when that happens he was ready to trade with his net which the capture times is much longer than a projectile hit stun.

However, Hellish Spear used to have a longer hit stun, even full screen you could have time to run, teleport and still hit them, but on the pax updated i noticed that this hitstun has been reduced, now scorpion will only gain a pressure or maybe none if his hellish spear hits full screen. Which makes me think, maybe whoever tested was getting huge advantages from hellish spear traps from full screen, besides of being two bars of meter, was probably making some crazy setups from the hit stun midscreen or corner.

Or it could be the other way around, the new hitstun up close possibly increased his mixup option during close quarters with the jump in punch or, empty jump into B3~Spear combo, or B32 tele-Cancel mixup in case they block the mix correctly.

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone where this woman covered her face up to hide her deformities. Turned out that she was gorgeous, but everybody else looked like 3-month old shit. But since society in general looked like 3-month old shit, she was ugly by their standards.

Torr should totally end up like that when the mask comes off. An outcast for having Scarlett Johansson's face on Bane's body:joker:

Hey man, you getting MKX on PS4? We should definitely train together with Scorpion if you are. Hopefully the netcode isn't dog shit for once.

So, I saw that MKX will be featured at the GameStop Expo in Anaheim, CA on September 9th-10th. Any thoughts? It kind of the only event before Tokyo Game Show.

So does anyone have any info on Kano's air ball follow-ups? I am dying to see if his low kick and tackle gives him a mix up in all of his variations.

is there a buffer window for inputs during block animation? or is it like MK9 where if your input is too early the move just doesn't come out
