Possibly . It's not just this I'm not understanding it's a lot. I'm new to a lot of fighting game tech and the text above just explains how to do what he is explaining,but not not showing in button form exactly what I should be pressing.like basically what i got out of it is do a string, a special move , then a button or direction at a certain time depending on if they block or not
I'll try to explain it in different words.
Hitstop is longer on block than on hit in this game which is why this works.
Ok, so first you need to know what you want to OS. Do you want the special to ONLY come out on hit or ONLY come out on block?
On HIT:
input your string then input the special normally. You want to then delay slightly (depending on the string you are doing) and input another DIRECTION, AFTER it would have already cancelled on hit but BEFORE it would have cancelled on block. This will invalidate the special and stop it coming out on block, but on hit it will have already come out.
on BLOCK:
input your string as normal, but WAIT to input the special. Don't finish your special until AFTER the cancel window on attack has ended but BEFORE the hitstop on block finishes, which will causes the special to still come out if the string is blocked.
