Question Ungrab-able frames?

Is grundy viable when characters can do this in his face?

Yup these are some of the strings that cant be grappled

Black Adam really fucks up Grundy's WC lol

Trait is unthrowable during activation.

1[3] - If both hits connect on the WC armor, you get a free throw and it counts the hits before for 20%
[f2] is hard to time, very few unthrowable frames

11~[4] and you have enough time to get full combo

Batgirl was made to fuck up WC

11[u3] - you can cancel into dd3 mb for a combo into her standing reset
11[3]
12[b2] - for oki
12[b3]
2[3] and f2[3] are difficult to time with very few unthrowable frames

there's a lot more than that. I've noticed a lot of nightwings staff stance has at least partial throw invulnerable frames. Can't count how many times I was like I finally got in with a walking corpse only to have the grab just go through him.

Yeah and with his trait nerf Idk. Grundy was my fun character but he doesnt seem fun anymore, I guess I should just level up and cancel my WCC if they do immune strings but it is still hella annoying.

I tested WC against all Sinestro moves a few weeks ago. He can't get grabbed during this moves:

OH projectiles kill the character

you shouldn't be trying to grab during strings anyway

you should be cancelling and crushing them on recovery of said strings.

It's not that easy, because a lot of ungrabbable strings might also hit you exactly when you cancelled walking corpse and have no armor.


OH projectiles are a big problem too...no doubt, but I feel the ungrab-able frames are the biggest one

Once you get a grab into your stance that fucks projectile characters, you are landed my Jamaican chum.

As Heroic_Legacy pointed out, Shazam can use f22 and he gets a full EX HM combo.

you have to remember... these moves only have a few frames of throw immunity... and like I said before, once you see a string smack your armor... canceling typically means a full grundy combo.

Just FYI and this may not be the case for all of these, but every "ungrabbable" normal I have tested is treated as being in the air. This means that an air throw usually (maybe always) works on these moves.

These are all of the characters I play.
I know it's not a string but Atlas Torpedo is totally invincible to WC and if you do it early enough you can punish after going through the armor as well.

This is what scares me... I plan to test more with the strings I posted to see if they still beat or are safe against a WCC.

Not really...because unfortunately many of the unthrowable strings are also special cancellable, and the special will likely hit Grundy before he can cancel WC into anything.

For example, Superman F23xxlowscoop always beats Grundy WCC into anything
