There's four, lol. A lot of people can play well with him, too. He doesn't seem like a character that a lot of people want to play exclusively with, he's kind of boring. He is, though, played at a high level by a lot of players. I'm starting to get pretty good with him.

meh, 4 people out of the thousands on XBL, isnt exactly "popular" though.

Sure people play him, but he said Kano "player", atleast when I see people say that, I think of someone who plays that character pretty much exclusively, like saying Ninja Ryo is a Reptile player, or something to that sort.

I cant agree that he is played at a high level by alot of players. He isnt very popular no matter how you slice the pie, but thats ok.

Kano is not boring there is absolutely nothing boring about kannon balls, baby shaking, and sweeping!

i have not even played someone using kano at all on XBL. But i was referring to someone who used him almost exclusively.

regardless, it's obvious there are people out there that use him. I know he can be powerful. Come to think of it, isn't he top tier??

Regarding Kano, I've read/heard a lot about how he isn't top-tier. As a Kano player myself, I greatly disagree with these people. Kano has easy and damaging combos along with powerful moves. His cannonballs can prove to be a very important weapon in his arsenal; along with that, he also has an air grab (by far not the best but he has one). Kano also has an alright projectile and the knife uppercut (which hits ducking opponents).

Even though Kano is probably one of my best characters, I'm still very new to the game. I've experimented with most of the characters and Kano is by far my favourite (not to say that he's the best). If you let the guy who's playing Kano control the match, you're almost guaranteed a lost. In the right hands, Kano can run right over the vast majority of characters (played by those of the same skill level of course ).

Kano is the shit, and thanks KM for mentioning me. I've definately been molding Kano into one of my major mains.

I've definately had an epiphany about Kano and it has also helped all my other characters.

Personally, I like to argue that Kano is ranked a little higher than he should be. I don't believe he has any right being higher than nightwolf. When you say "kano = beast" it has absolutely no imput to the debate. It irritates me because I don't believe he deserves his spot. I'm not saying that everyone's comment always adds imput to the conversation, I just think you, too often, say things that you don't know to be true. If you think Kano is a beast, please tell me why.

What I see with Kano is a great sweep and a great jump kick. Cannon balls are useful, but he has a very strange game. It has been said by others that he is a rush down-offensive character, but I just don't see it. His run jabs are short, and neither his sweep nor jump kick compliment his rush down. A blocked sweep ends a rush. A crossover jumpkick (which doesn't utilize his talent at jumpkicking anyways) gives an opporunity to counter his rush.

When I see Kano played well it is generally a mix up of average rush downs (when I say average I mean that's all he's capable of) and very risky zoning/defense. I say risky because he needs to use cannonballs, projectiles, and especially sweeps. The problem is that all three of those run a risk of being countered for a combo, when they only deliver minimum damage. Since many people agree that he is indeed top tier, I just want to know what I'm missing.

Can someone explain to me why liu isnt last and jade isnt 2nd to last.

Jade is definitely not 2nd last, dash kick is not that easy to punish and it catches many people off guard because of its' 3XTR3M3 SP33D, she also has the projectile that comes back, stopping lots of combos and allows you to rush down if they try to block it, even better if they get hit by it while they're performing a combo on you. Liu Kang fights hard for the spot you gave him though.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Sektor is last.

He's a robot so hes very easy to juggle and re-launch, he has crappy damage combos, rush down is average.

He can spam those missles but that tactic is pretty easy to overcome.

There's just not anything special about him IMO.

I totally fucing agree, man. He always seemed like a incomplete character. Like, he has no flow to him whatsoever.

But I still think Sextoy > Sheeva, so Sheeva still gets my vote for last.
