Using approximately 34 individual tier lists, I cross referenced all of them and came up with this:

Remember, that is a combination of all the tier lists mentioned, giving the same weight to online and offline, and different platforms. A further break down can be seen below. The more ranks a character is given, the less certain their placement is. So for example, Kabal's offline ranks are 1 and 2, but online they are 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. Human Smoke also appears to have a pretty stable ranking with a low average range of 3.5 (for both off and online). Mileena has relatively unstable ranking with an average range of 8, and consequently benefits from this rerank. Have a look through, if there are any errors with the number lists, please post exactly what I did, and then what it should be.
Certainty for now is based on the average number of ranking positions for off and online, but I may run through the numbers for all the lists again and get a more precise number for each. Some may go up, some may drop but the percentages will start to differentiate more. The number in () represents the number of placements selected by players. Average Rank is the placements added up and divided by that number. The / divides offline/online ranking. Median Rank is the middle number of a set of ranks (the two middle numbers added together and divided by 2 if the set is even). Mode Rank is the most commonly occuring rank. All Ranks Average is every instance of every rank cast, added together and divided by the number of rankings.

Post your tier lists for UMK3 here, no matter what platform you play on. Don't post ANYTHING except tier lists and the platform you intend it to be specified for. Anything extra will be deleted. If you have posted your list in the main tier list thread, post it again here. The data will be cross referenced per game, and all games. Any arguing in this thread is completely unnecessary and this is meant for data purposes only. Any off topic, arguing, or garbage posts will be treated with the discretion of the mods, and most likely zero tolerance. Infractions will be given, no questions ask.
Include platform - arcade, XBL, DS, Kaillera, etc.
Edit: Just tier lists people, full tier lists, no notes, no reasons, not top 10s, and include the platform - arcade, XBL, DS, Kaillera, etc. Tier grouping will be determined later, as some characters listed low, or mid tier for example, might not actually fall into that category at all.
Edit 7/5/08: Some posts have been deleted. This is not a discussion thread, this is a data collection thread meant for everyone on the site to contribute to. Post your tier lists, and platforms you play on/specified your tier list for. Tell anyone who has not posted in or seen this thread to do so who would obviously want to. Even if you agree with the default tier list posted on this site, you should post it because it still counts.

Edit 9/16/10 Feel free to post about the tier lists freely. If you want to add your own lists to the thread as well, I may eventually factor them into the group tier listing. Again remember that neither this, nor the main tier list for this site are 100% accurate, however they are very similar. Eventually we plan on doing best of 10 sets with similarly skilled players and factoring point based ranking that way as well.

Edit 7/5/08: Some posts have been deleted. This is not a discussion thread, this is a data collection thread meant for everyone on the site to contribute to. Post your tier lists, and platforms you play on/specified your tier list for. Tell anyone who has not posted in or seen this thread to do so who would obviously want to. Even if you agree with the default tier list posted on this site, you should post it because it still counts.

Edit 9/16/10 Feel free to post about the tier lists freely. If you want to add your own lists to the thread as well, I may eventually factor them into the group tier listing. Again remember that neither this, nor the main tier list for this site are 100% accurate, however they are very similar. Eventually we plan on doing best of 10 sets with similarly skilled players and factoring point based ranking that way as well.
