Discussion Tournament Results and Their Effects on Character Tier Placement

Until the optimal way to play both characters in a matchup is found, that matchup can't be figured out. Until the optimum way to play all characters is found, matchups are inaccurate - making any tier list inaccurate or clearly arbitrary. They're fun to debate in the meantime though.

What about characters people don't really know?

Piercing was under the radar like crazy, blows up, gets 1 big nerf in the patch, where does she stand now?

Every playable character inside a fighting game as far as i know should have the potential to reach the top but it never did. If they keep having none reaching top 8 then why wasting time making them? plus where is bo'rai cho at in the tournaments?
