I'm not Pig and I believe that the only reason Kenshi/Sub wouldn't be be 9/1 is because it might not be as bad as Smoke is for Sub. I don't see why it would be any better or worse regardless of who the Kenshi player is.
No way smoke doesn't chip/zone you to death and has no scary armor. Don't get me wrong Smoke Sub is still probably 7-3 but Kenshi Sub is 8-2 or 9-1.
Kenshi doesn't full combo punish ice clone anywhere on the screen.
Why would Kenshi have to worry about Ice clone at all? its not like he has to move forward, no matter the life lead if you can't finish off kenshi and he can still zone then you don't have the advantage. The only time he has to worry about ice clone is in the corner, and everyone has to respect sub zero in the corner.
My statement was sorta of a joke....let me explain Pig's Kenshi back in day was the only one at that time that was doing some real damage in majors(IMO) and he knew matchups pretty well, so whenever I talk about Kenshi and his matchups I would mention that as a little joke....that's all
Ok not everyone has to respect the ice clone, but none of the characters you stated are as bad a matchup as Kenshi vs Sub Zero.
That's the thing, Smoke doesn't even have to care about Sub's corner game either. Even when Sub has the lifelead, you could be killed just for pressing a button. That two things are worst matchup contendership material IMO.

Kenshi has a Reflect, he can sit there full screen turtle all day and those two aren't getting in nor getting any damage on him at all like Johnny Cage and Kitana.
Kang has his tricks in comparison to cage. When Kenshi has Cage in his face he only has to worry about f3/d3/ex nut punch (talk about broken!) but with Kang it's a lot tougher. From full screen Cage has nothing aside from a red shadow kick (on read though) but Kang has stuff to do. Even though, it's not better than 7-3 in Kenshi's favor . I have NO idea about Sindel to be honest. Kenshi's reflect sends sindels air projectiles diagonally up I guess? Maybe mix high/low fireballs like Kang in oredr to put Kenshi in a "reflect only mode" ? Maybe somewhere in between those reflects there is a jip or at least a deep jump kick... I don't know.
What? Kung Lao, Freddy and even Noob Saibot give Kenshi trouble.
