Throw Tech OS

Yo Tym

Don't know if this has being showing or not, haven't really see anybody mention it, I don't know if it's intentional or not and also it's just a beta too so nothing is official

But in anyway here is the video
With me and @1man3letters

So basically what is happening is you can OS throw tech or normal like you could in SFIV by pressing throw and the normal in the same time window

I played a guy earlier who did this on me I don't whether it was accidental or not but props to him for sparking this :D

Edit: this can be done by blocking too!

If you see opponent is plus or he dashes in press back throw

You will block the first attack if it's fast enough and tech the throw

To beat this you do a slower normal, shimmy delay throw or Neutral jump punch it

yeah, that should probably get removed.

by the same time window, u basically mean he's pressing throw+d1 right?
Well kinda.

It's plinked like you press it instantly after, it does require practice

But there are ways around it so it's not an all in option such as fast or delayed mids, steps backs or NJPs and such

so u could beat the OS by doing njp or back up delay mid? etc?

and so its a sequential button press, which comes first tho, the throw or the normal?

even if it CAN be beat, i don't think it should be a thing, if you wanna punish/tech that throw, you better be scouting it/making a read, i hate os', and whats worse, i hate when their so good that you have no choice but to use them.

how does os'ing her breath work?
It's because the ticks of each breath jail if you press D1 each tic you would stay blocking

But this in all B2B if the move jails you are forced to block unless something slow

The only way this can't fixed is giving things gaps so they will beat out the button ores but with gaps you can then backdash and such

na na na na leave it in. lol this is what offense was based around in sf4. let the scrubs mash crouch tech and get blown the F up. its a good "skill gapper"

wait, so the breath hits more than once? im confused

but yeah u didnt answer my other question, to do the os, does the throw come first or second?

You can hold Supergirl's ice breath to get multiple hits. Each hit jails into the next, so if you block the first hit and then start mashing d1 or b1, you will continue blocking each following hit until ice breath ends. As soon as it ends, you will immediately come out with your normal.

ah, alright, now it makes sense.

myself and mantis found out today you can also do this while blocking instead of pressing a button :/

can be blow up by doing a slow normal so the plinked throw will come up and get blown up but in turn that can be beat by a d1, we were trying to test using a plink combo of d1/block/tech to cover everything but needs further testing

either way dunno how feel about tech os's

Yeah I'm not sure how I feel since you can't really Tech throws on reaction anymore

Plink was definitely wrong phrase I meant piano it lol

If they remove it hopefully they up the tech window a little to make up for it

Make the same as MKX

Idk

I look like Bobby Hill and I have the reactions to tech every single throw on MKX. The only thing that keeps people like Scar and Sonic from teching every throw, is that forward and back require different inputs to tech. If it's one input, a window as large as MKX is ridiculous imo.
