Just bought a Qanba Q4. Kind of late in the console generation, but I figure I have close to a year at least before this gen gets phased out. Hopefully more...

It's day 3 of me owning it and I'm getting there with my IGAU combos. I'm learning Marvel and SF on the stick, and they make way more sense than on pad. I hate the stick for MK9, though, I will always use pad.

Anyway, the only thing I'm having trouble with is dashing, actually. I end up jumping sometimes, and I find it hard to double tap forward or back as fast as I can on the pad. Anyone have any advice?

You have to find a good grip and consciously use it consistently. Wineglass made dashing much easier for me. That, and just play a lot.

Hey what up,

I bought a MK TE edition stick and I really love the looks and size of it, but I feel that the parts on it are somewhat rubish. I have another stick (qanba q4) for other fighters and I love the quality. But since I'm a big MK fan, I just had to buy MK stick which looks great as said before. The question I have is, I really want to mod my MK stick with better parts, but I know nothing about modding. I've already modded my xbox 360 pad and it went ok, but modding a stick is different, and I'd really love if anyone could provide me with some info or maybe a guide which buttons/triggers should I buy, where, and how to do it.

I don't know whether I should mod just the buttons or the stick also. I know you guys know a lot about the topic, so I'll be grateful.
Thanks in advance!

Get on that hook
I get jelly of all these sticks. My poverty stick is just a PS2 Tekken 5 HORI stick that a friend gave me. Use eTokki on that shit and play on 360 XD

But the R1 button is fucked now lol

Does your stick look like this?

You will probably need to get Happ or IL(better than Happ) arcade buttons. Sanwas buttons won't fit in it. because it's too small. The website I would go for to buy the parts will be paradisearcadeshop or groovygamegears. Just open up your stick and replace the buttons with the parts you bought. You won't need any modifications.
