Yeah but I mean as soon as your opponent blocks a B14 they should go for an armored launcher, and not let you get away with a grab.
Depends on the launcher. Some characters have armour that's 17f or higher.

You can armor out of B14 overhead sword, and jump out of B14 low sword into full combo
And backdash beats all.
I'm pretty sure I've still been tagged by the 2nd hit of EX Overhead for trying that, might've been from a different string though.

It's certainly possible, especially if you're Kano, Kotal or Quan (best backdashes in the game), but in the corner? Maaaaaaaan.
