By "at the tourney" you mean sat revival? This is Friday night so you should be good.

What is the custom King of the Hill? Here is a full explanation...
Mock up of 9 entries and a $100 pot.

Round 1-Qualifier: People will be separated into 3 groups of 3 for a round robin. Matches 2 of 3
**How you place in Round 1 will determine your position for Round 2.

Round 2-Qualifier: Round Robin again. This time you are place according to you placing in Round 1. Top Tier are all player that achieved 1st in their group. Mid Tier are players that came in 2nd. Low Tier are players that came in 3rd. Matches 2 of 3
**Top Tier and Mid Tier will be playing for positioning in the Low prize tournament. Low Tier will be playing to advance to the Low prize tournament. 3rd Place in the Low Tier group will be eliminated. Only 8 of the 9 players can advance to the Low prize tournament.

Low Prize: This is a single elimination tournament (possible double pending time and # of entries). Winner (1st place) of this tournament will win $10. Top 6 players will advance to the Mid prize tournament. Matches 2 of 3

Mid Prize: This is a single elimination tournament (possible double pending time and # of entries). Winner (1st place) of this tournament will win $30. Top 2 players will advance to the Top Prize Match. Matches 2 of 3

Top Prize: Match will be 2 of 3. No double elimination. Winner will win $60 and will be CROWNED THE KING OF THE HILL!

This format has the following perks
- Gives everyone more matches (more than usually two matches in double elimination format).
- Matches people up to their skill level
- More chances to win a prize/money
- Difficulty increases as you advance in the tournament

I didn't want to post this in the forum for people to steal, but I didn't get any question in my PM or on Facebook. Plus like some of you said...it sounds interesting but you don't know what it is.

Actually, everyone is not playing everyone. Everyone is separated into groups of 3...then you play everyone in that group (2 matches). It still can be done on a larger scale, just has to be retweeked to accordingly...

I'm having a ton of trouble deciding who I should main. I'd like to talk to some of you upper tier players about it.

Well, to be honest, there are a ton of characters I'm digging. I have a huge soft spot for Quan Chi, but I know a lot of the game is fairly matchup based (I know you don't agree with that, Pig) and if I played a character that is considered gimmicky and kind of low tier, Id 'really like to have a working knowledge of a better character as well, if that makes sense. Also, I don't know if this seems silly, but I'd like to play a character that could help the Georgia scene as a whole with matchup experience. For instance, if there is a character that people are likely to come across in tournament, but we don't really have a representative of that character locally, I'd like to help fill that gap for the local community. And, just for shits and giggles, these are characters I wouldn't mind learning:
Reptile(played him the two months I played the game), Rain, Skarlet, Sektor, Cyrax, Jax, Shang, Quan, maybe Raiden or Sindel. Like half the cast, I know.

I wouldnt base your choice of character off of anything other than your preference really. Its all about how you like to play and what will fit you best. For me i like to play more rush down oriented style characters which is why i use Rain, sonya, etc. I also play rain cause i love the design of the character so if you find a character you really love then its nice to play them.

Atlanta could use a kick ass Sektor, Raiden, Shang and Skarlet

I could show you lots w Rain, Quan, Jax and we have a lot who could help you with reptile

IKizzLE sektor is outstanding so i say study completely copy what he does lol, he makes sektor look sexy

But in the end pick the character that screams your name
