What is so good about Piercings B12? I see people here talking about it and basically saying that this makes Piercing her best variation but I don't get what is so good about it. Is it really plus? cause I usually get poked out of anything after it. Can someone indicate me the proper way to use this tool?
It's only +2 on block, but repeating it means you essentially have a 9f mid (that can be low profiled). The string ultimately forces action from the opponent and that's what makes it good. It's a very universal tool: Good range, can be special canceled, works to anti-air, etc. It's best used as a stagger.
Basically, people can only get out by armoring or poking and you just make a read. To force additional respect, you can do things such as roll or teleport kick after. You can do b1 throw after they're conditioned to expect the whole string etc. or b21 after you think they may have fallen asleep and forgot to block low as they try to figure out when to escape b12.
It's a stress stagger. Mileena basically gets to build meter and chip away while the opponent figures out how to get their turn back, but she could potentially be baiting at any point.
I don't think it's that great, but I understand the utility. It's the best we've got so I'll gladly take it.
It's also significantly better in some matchups than others. Let's take Erron Black for example who has slow buttons. B12 into b12 is even more potent on him because he doesn't have great pokes or fast buttons. It slows him down even more and tempts him to commit to some unsafe options
