Honestly commando's strength comes from his predictability IMO. In theory if they're ever blocking low I should be able to get at least a tick throw, and opponents are very very likely to block low v kano. You don't really use choke since the advantage it gives it straight booty.

it's a really really really REALLY good Anti Air option.

So while i tend to try and stay knowledgeable about the characters i play, i do have a confession:

I am not great at converting MB Kano ball into combos. Usually, i just use it to get the opponent off of me and then continue to zone.

Any helpful tips? What should Cyber use?

I don't use it mid combo, but always use it as my armor WU and as my "string gap punisher/string was blocked so I armor their incoming string" attack.

I'm assuming when you use EX Kano ball it's for the armor and the knockdown? To make the cancel easier try inputting :d 3 times instead of 2 during the holding of the button. You only hold it long enough for your cancel to go through, a very short amount of time. Like if you're in a WU situation and you know the guy is about to mash that 50/50, do EX BF3DDD instead of DD. I've noticed it makes the cancel always work a lot easier on hit and you can follow up with 112~laser combos, or if a little farther or late reaction B23~Ball.

Hope this helps! You should definitely get them down. It's a good amount of damage to get when swinging the momentum.

- F212 x 112 (you have to wait a bit for their body to be halfway down so 2 connects) into Kano Ball deals 24%/32% and you get a hard knockdown. You can replace 112 with just 4 and still get the same damage.

If you can't time 112 right, just doing 11 into kanoball is fairly easy and it gives you 20%/26% and you still get a hard knockdown.

- F212 xx F212 (you have to get them while they're high) xx 11 into KB = 26%/35%

- F212 x 112 into EX DB1 xx 4 xx Kano-Ball gives you 34% / 45% so that's pretty nice conversion of F212 imo.

You can again replace 112 with just 4 and practically get the same damage (33%/44%)

I'll make a video of combos you can do which start with F212 bit later.

This video focuses on combos that start with F212 string in Cutthroat variation. It basically boils down to F212, 4 and 112 being interchangeable, these are just few combos I thought of top of my head. There might be some more damaging combos out of this, but I feel some of these here are most reliable and easiest to execute, beginner and experienced players alike.

0 Bars:
F212 xx 11 KB - 20% or 26%
F212 xx 4 KB - 22% or 32%
F212 xx 112 KB - 24% or 32%
F212 xx F212 xx 11 KB - 26% or 35%

1 Bar:
F212 xx 11 xx EX DB 1 xx 4 xx KB - 30% or 40%
F212 xx B1 - EX DB1 xx 4 - KB - 32% or 42%
F212 xx 4 xx EX DB 1 xx 4 xx KB - 33% or 44%
F212 xx 112 xx EX DB 1 xx 4 xx KB - 34% or 45%

All the combos used are in the video's description. Hopefully it helps someone out, since I tried to make it easier to understand.

So I was messing around, and I found that on the Kamp, and the Quan Chi palace place, you can do combos with the slides. But ONLY from the right side like this. From the left you'd need to do an EX Kano ball cancel into the slide. http://a.pomf.se/teqvid.webm I did one for each variation, but I feel like it's something that could be explored by someone more creative than me.

Pretty sure I haven't seen it in here yet but for Cutthroat mid screen I do 112, EX db1, Njp, run, b121, bf3 for 36%.
Doing the same but with b12 instead of 112 does 35%, b31 does 33% and f4 does also does 33%.

that is my bnb too. without meter i just do 112 into knives and mix up with f21/throw afterwards

Hey, fellas. I don't know if this has been said already, but you can combo off your JI3 and JI4 when the opponents in the corner.
I've just been messing around with Commando while my internet is slowly trying to download the latest patch, but here's the best I got.

JI4, 32, 112xxdbf4 33%

Pretty sure cutthroat can get the best out of this with ex slice, gonna give it a little look.
