This is a spin off on all the MMH talk..
1. If MMH is so good, where is the MMH army? Why dont we see a repeat performance of Superman and Black Adam with MMH?
Pretty simple actually... MMH was not a day 1 character. Day 1 people picked up Superman and Black Adam and had success for a few reasons. 1) some were actually very good fg players, 2) the characters very powerful, 3) the game was new so it wasnt too hard to have success with these characters from the start. However, as the game evolved and players got better, the top Superman and Black Adam players also evolved and got better.
MMH was a DLC character that arrived nearly 6 months after the game was launched. This means that you were now using a character for the first time vs players who had 6 months of exp with their characters. To top it all off, some of these guys were having to use their day 1 MMH vs top pre-patch Superman and Black Adam players. This resulted in many ppl deciding to stick with/start using pre-patch Superman and Black Adam over using MMH. Those few that did stay with MMH didnt have INSTANT success because they were fighting players who have been using their mains for 6 months. Its only now that some players are starting to show off MMH and they still havent even taken him to where he will end up.
2. It is REALLY hard to get all the exp vs MMH:
Well, if you havent figured it out by now, him having so many tools is aided by the lack of exp vs him. Why is this? Its because being a top level MMH is like being the only girl in a school of all guys. You can have your pick. How does this relate to MMH? As a RARE top level MMH player, you can learn mu's by playing so many ppl playing the same characters. For Sinestro you could play Wound, P2W, Stuka etc.. HOWEVER, those players can only play those one or two top level MMH players. This has several players waiting around for games with that one MMH player for exp, all while that MMH player is still getting their exp from playing many ppl using a specific character. This actually ALWAYS keeps the MMH player ahead of the curb because they are fighting what your character does 100 times more than you are fighting a MMH player at that level. This makes it really hard for you to come up with answers vs him while making it easier for him to have answers for you. This can actually make the character look even better then he actually is. Not saying he isnt the best, but being the best and being "broken" are 2 separate things.
3.Online is like High School:
Yup, IGAU online has now become the High School style popularity/dick measuring contest. It is actually harder to for a lot of players to get all the exp they want based on who they are. In many ways online has become more about who is up on what well known player which grants you status. In MK9, online was not as good. This FORCED you to play with the guys around you. Soonk's Kabal was not as good as Reo's or Detroit's, but you better believe that GGA trained with him hardcore to prepare. The result was Soonk improved as a player and everyone at GGA improved against Kabal. No one at GGA decided to not play because a Kabal player wasn't as good as REO. The logic of "why play this guy, I should only play REO" didnt even exist.
Not being able to pick and chose who gets games and who doesnt made everyone around you better, which in turn made you better. Even if its someone you were crushing, unlike IGAU where that guy will no longer gets games with the top guys, in MK9 you gave that local all the games they wanted. Eventually the guy that was getting crushed started to hand out losses. This made players VERY strong. The way things are done in IGAU makes it really hard to actually get all the exp you want and need. Its one of the main reasons why MK9's overall evoloution progressed faster than IGAU's.
Can we all just get the fuck over ourselves already?
Thanks and lets get back to leveling up.
