That's different, your opponent can choose to pick the same character as you but you can't change the character that kills you in that faction kill.

I think we should all stop with assuming which character is or isn't the most requested DLC character because none of us actually know every MK fan's opinion on that lol. Saves a lot of bad arguments
This is different though because, like ErMac mentioned, you don't actually see Fujin or Rain or Cyrax during the kk/tyl matches in the same way you don't see Liu Kang or Kung Jin or whoever else in faction kills. You do actually see Enenra in the Lin Kuei faction kill which is why he has slightly less of a chance of being in.

That's not true. Him not being DLC will partly be because he's a faction kill and him killing himself would just be off,
but while Enenra has a large fanbase I don't think it's large enough in comparison to other character fanbases for them (whereas clearly Tremor was since he got 10,000 signatures and NRS noticed) to put him in and either disregard or change the Lin Kuei faction kill.

How is it "hardly a reason"? Lol. If one character's fanbase has a larger following then they are going to bring in more money for NRS/WB/whoever and so that character will be included. And you agree they're going to put in whoever they feel will bring in the most money right? Again, I'm not talking about lore. Goro made it in because he hadn't been playable in a long time and he's usually a boss so it's a new thing for people, Predator and Jason are guest characters which have historically brought in the most money, Tanya was in because they were always going to include a female and Tremor was in because his fanbase is significantly larger than other character fanbases to the point where NRS became aware of said huge following and put him in the game because of it.
