That just doesn't make any sense. Take Jason for instance.
He's still a good character, plus he sells himself because of who he is anyway, Tanya doesn't. I'm telling you some people have bought/will buy Tanya because they hear she's top tier lol. People want to win.

no, i play pyromancer as well, mileena shuts down our zoning game, and since the fact that tanya has only 1 realible mid that is f2 she can do what upclose, f2 tele cancel f2 tele cancel f2 dark shroud or go or b3 1 shroud. you are forced to use meter upclose against mileena and cannot run away from her. fighting her up close is very tricky since tanya consists of highs, and 2 minds and 1 low. 1 mid is not even special cancellable and and has a crazy gap. and low has a gap too. anyhow you do lets say f2 dark shroud and mileena blocks it, then both of you armor, tanya does armored shroud mileena does armored roll, mileena wins since her roll hits 2 times and breaks shrouds armor. you are forced to block after mileena blocks your dark shroud, she shuts down your runaway game rolls under all highs. 2, 3, 1, 4. i played a lot of pyromancer vs mileena matches. A LOT! and this is what i experienced. oh and sometimes 2nd hit of her f2 whiffs on crouching opponents.
Mileena's EX roll is full combo punishable while EX dark shroud is safe.

Armoring through f+4,3 is a guess. Do f+4, hold block, and punish.

Even punishing perfect instant aerial fireballs and instant back aerial teleports with a teleport kick is a guess.

In my opinion, Tanya does fine versus Mileena. Scorpion is a much more difficult match up.

Kobu is by far the best variation imo...it doesn't rely on tele but uses it to enhance her already good spacing and pressure (which is better than the other 2)
By far? I am not convinced.

And I would argue that Kobu and Dragon Naginata depend on forward teleport more than Pyromancer. I would be able to out-zone other Tanya players with relative ease if forward teleport were weaker.

Tanya is so overrated its almost stupid . Those nerfs you suggested will make her worse than reptile.
If you know of better suggestions, post them.

Hmmm, I think either remove the invincibility on all her teleports, or increase the startup to 10-12 frames (increasing hitstun on 112, f2 and 24 by 5 frames in the process) but not both.

This allows her to keep meterless dragon naginata combos while still toning down stuff. ex forward tele can be 12-15 frames as long as it still combos.

You haven't mentioned aerial teleports at all so I'm assuming you didn't want them touched, but lbsh, they're much more OP than her grounded ones. If aerial back teleport really is 1 frame than an increase to 3-5 frames while maintaining invincibility seems fair.

I still don't think this address her dark shroud in pyro (which is so much better than forward tele lol) nor her block pressure in kobu but whatever hahaha.

I would also add that f4 should be made 6 frames more negative on block but be allowed to be special cancellable (like the frame data says it should be) and b312 to have a bigger gap between the 1 and the 2 (of at least 10 frames) while removing the gap between b3 and 1 and making the 1 hit mid.

Your changes are reasonable, but I am confused why you would alter f+4.

She can be changed in various ways yet still remain a top tier character. Perhaps I am over-complicating the issue and the only thing that has to be changed is the EX teleport. I wonder what NRS will have in store.

I want to be honest. I love the character but dislike the instant aerial forward teleport. Unless you have an EX spin, you cannot react and anti-air jumping 2 consistently, which results in some ugly gameplay that sometimes appears as though teleporting were unstoppable. In general, jumping is still too strong in this game.

You are missing the point, after you do dark shroud on block sometimes you act gimmiky and follow it up with ex dark shroud if mileena can read it, she can ex the roll and break the armor of the shroud. And i know what to do, its just im giving you what tanya goes through. I like to f4 and if they block backdash then either tele back or f2 or whatever. But still you get the idea or no? That she is a pain in the ass for pyro. And tbh i have no problems against scorpion, hellfire atleast in pyro.

This thread is meaningless. Everyone already knows Tanya's teleports are getting a nerf in some way, shape, or form. I would be fine if they just lost their invincibility to normal jump attacks in several situations. Maybe a minor startup reduction. I am sure the changes have already been pegged though so I am just in wait and see mode.

yeah dude it's a conspiracy, NRS is elerminady!
To be fair, NRS does have a tradition of making DLC-chars overpowered on release. Vanilla-Skarlett (low into overhead), Freddy (no proper damage scaling), Batgirl, Zod and a few others come to mind...

On topic:
Tanyas teleport makes matches look unlike Mortal Kombat and more like these weird DBZ games. This is reason enough to nerf forward teleport severly. Or have Son Goku as Seasonpass 2 DLC just so you can counterpick when you are playing against Tanya!
