I tear shit up with Jiggilypuff when I play but I never bothered playing it seriously like the way we play this...learning all the chain setups and wavebirding and all that.

Theres nothing better than hearing that bat sound insta-kill though. Its way more satisfying than owning people with fox.

Against Shiek? Or with Shiek?

One thing you should know about Link is that never go under him when hes coming down unless you're playing someone who doesn't know how to tech. In that case go under him and let him do his down+A move. Then move out of the way. If you are using Shiek here, Throw Link up and juggle him a little. Then foward+A his ass and he should be done. I'll get more technical later. 8)

With Sheik. I do quite a bit of juggling, just not sure exactly what to do for MAX DAMAGE y'know.

Max damage with her is about 90%. If you keep juggling from there they can escape. SO stop around there then foward+A the sucker.

Add Chain throws in there also. Nothing like chain throwing to piss people off.

I'll add tips for anyone if anyone does ask.

www.smashboards.com is a great site for Smash learning etc. Well, yeah buttman was correct on the Chainthrows. you really wanna keep them on their toes. chase them down with needles and tech chase them ALOT. I suggest using alot of her high priority attacks as well (such as her Fair. Bair, and her Nair.) Needles beleive it or not thrown 1 by 1 at the person can be great for stopping them and gimping them if there near the edge. The F-Tilt and D-Tilt can be used really well in order to set up Dash to Fair combos for killing blows.

yeah, thats big news for Brawl. Im thinking of getting a WII just for brawl so me and my crew can play whenever... Sucks having to get rides back and forth lol

Tis a shame it's pushed back. I was reading about Sonic being in it the other day and it made me wonder how many people are gearing up to finally have Sonic vs Mario.

That matchup was usually formulated by fanboys and it was really Sega vs Nintendo, but that's already been decided. Wonder if anyone cares about the grudges any more.

Supposedly Megaman is going to be in. I highly doubt it.

Sonic has officially been announced so SSBB is going to be hot no doubt :shock: with online play *drools*

I honestly don't think Megaman is in. I would love for him to be in there but I highly doubt he will be there. Nintendo said only about two 3rd party characters will be in and Sonic and Snake are the two 3rd party characters. Who knows, maybe Megaman will be one of the "hidden" characters.

All I know is that I'm waiting for Falcon.

Todays update was just about the Home-Run contest thing. Now it is 2 players and can go online. Hmm

Online play is going to kill this franchise. The thing that made this game unique in its play style is how people had to GO to tournaments and DISCOVER things on there own (or on the internet) and then testing it out every so often when a tourney rolled around. Its not gonna be as fun when i go to live tournaments I supose.. Melee was a blast hanging out with the community every other saturday. Too bad my LAN center closed down (apprantly like 12/20 comps were stolen)

Gotta say I highly disagree with you dude ^^, on the contrary online play is the future and especially in Nintendo's case, I must say although ALL fighting games lag online it'll be awesome online. Nobody is going to want to go to tournaments, in this point in time tournaments is ridiculous. Nobody is going to fly to another country, state etc just to play in a SSBB tournament, even if it is for money or whatever. Every fighter is online right now or going to be (ie..VF 5, Tekken 6 even...) and of course SSB series.

Who the hell wants to play the computer or beat the snot out of your 4 best friends 100 times or travel many miles or god knows where just for tournament when you have online play and can play from home?



Online play is the way to go, every fighting game is online now or going anyway so why not SSBB? I really don't see making this game offline logical to be honest.

Besides, nintendo has great online play. DS play is great online I can tell you since I play every day Mario Kart, Puzzle League, etc.

I don't see how SSBB going online can be the downfall of this series, if anything it's the best thing for SSBB overall.

Nintendo's fighting game going online finally...it's about time if you ask me.

As for more secret characters, I think the game at this stage has enough characters lol. Mega Man, ehhh honestly I couldn't care less if he makes the cut or not, then what's next? Ryu, Sub-Zero.... lol since Snake made the cut and all.

This game will be lots of fun, I won't play it nearly as much as my MK games online but I'll play it. :)

what do you have to do to be good at the game, like where can i learn the strats? i've played it and there doesnt seem to be much to it but apparently you can get much better than just button mashing

I must also disagree here. Lag WILL a major issue obviouslly, but on the other hand, think about the possibilities now open. Only certain copies of Melee had online and it was a bitch to set-up.

Now people will get the chance to actually play a real fun fighter against others around the world. Whats so bad about this? Discovering things? www.gamefaqs.com
