I'm going to go out on a limb and say everything is still ok. I'll wait until THE Grandmaster himself comments on it. Until then, I'm having fun with new Scoop Chi

As a Cryomancer player I was fearing the incomming GM nerf would hit Sub-Zero in general. Damn if I understood the nerf correctly (I'm in PC so will have to wait for it) it was a heavy blow, at least I dodged that bullet when I decided to dedicate most of my training to Cryo, but I feel bad for GM players.

Ok so... now that the crybabies got what they wanted can we get a couple of overal buffs like B33 into Iceball working on males? It still feels weird that a move will combo against only a portion of the cast, I'm 100% sure females weren't balanced with that in mind and between "combo to Iceball for all" and "for none" I think after this nerf all SZ variations deserve some love. Having a midscreen mixup game against males would help and at least be a consolation prize for dedicated GM players.

To be honest I see this as an opportunity to buff some stuff that previously you couldn't buff in fear of making GM more powerful. A bit faster Iceball (able to win some late trades and combo from B33 or 12 for low starters) would be great and after this nerf, not broken at all.

My cryo wish list would be
1) 242 do 5pt more damage
2) exdb1 be plus 1-2 on block
3) restand throw be plus 1 or restand closer.

3 might be a bit much. Till then tho ill stick it oit with gm lol

Lol so now people can just jump over the clone touch you AND you block and your clone goes away the fuq

Yeah the clone going away on block essentially makes it completely useless for pressure, not only can most of the cast just jump at u and get free pressure on u since the clone is gone and u have to block after putting it out, any character with any disjointed hitboxes or far reaching specials can just ignore it now

Have kenshi in the corner? put out ice clone, he uses pretty much any of his specials, ur clone is gone and u either got hit or are at disadvantage because of block stun

Imo this is pretty crippling

Can you try doing Frost bomb and let the armor eat the jump in and see if you still have the clone up? Meaning do you get a crapton of damage if you do that because the clone bursts in their faces?

Bait them to jump? What good does that do, none of his specials can anti air well enough besides shatter which wont get u much

Best case scenario, u bait the jump and get a minor punish or even possibly a minor combo somewhere around 26-32% for 1 bar

Worst case, they jump in at u, and get in for free because of recovery on clone

Really not worth it imo, I would rather not have the clone

Backdash the jump they'll fall into the clone.
