If you are unsure what moves to equip for tournament Sonya, I will list them briefly below. For anyone confused about dash cancelling, you are able to cancel your dash into any attack. This allows Sonya to dash cancel midscreen for easier conversions!

General Gameplan
As Sonya, you are given access to very powerful mixups using her B123 and B14 strings respectively. While strong, B1 starts off as a high, so you must be careful when playing someone who knows this. Highs can be ducked and punished with usually low pokes and occasionally D2(which gives them a KB). I believe the Sonya player MUST enforce neutral with her Energy Ring first. That's right. Her projectile. Its super fast, trades well, and has a KB attached to it for very good damage. It can keep your opponent honest in space and gives Sonya that ability to contest in ranges she could not usually do. Furthermore, if you come across someone who knows the MU and they are constantly mashing you out of your 50/50, PLEASE USE F3. It's 18f yes i now, but it gives her a +31 knockdown AND it low crushes a lot of D4's, D3's, and mashing D2 users. If you find yourself being mashed on after you hit D3, make sure to practice your Jailing timing because all of her low pokes guarantee a B1 on HIT. You can also use F4 against mashers as well up close as it is 10f and leaves the opponent standing should you choose not to extend the string.
