The time has come for those who have gotten themselves through the chaos of the best to approach the stage and make their names loud. What better way to end 2016 than to have heavy-hitter competition w/ international players in our MKX finale at Northeast Championships 17! To top things off, we have the luxurious $10K pot bonus for our final players presented to us by Warner Bros / NetherRealm Studios!

Is the fox feeling the responsibilities of being in college? Sometimes the big boy responsibilities can shift your focus. Tune in to NEC to find out where the king really is...

No joke... he is going through some life changes and I would have been shocked if he continued to win everything while being in college.
Incoming transmission from Sonic Fox:

All joking aside, congrats to Sonic. Seems like you just can't keep him down.

Overall, this was a fun tournament to watch, and it was great to see that character variety on display. Predator, Sektor, Smoke, Takeda, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Kitana, Cassie, Kung Lao, D'Vorah, Tremor, Mileena (all 3 variations of her!), Liu Kang, etc. all made a splash and that's good for the game's life. Looking forward to seeing what's next.

Are ya' ready for MK11 kids?!
Sonic never really looked back after he layed it down against Tekken Master. Only thing he really did wrong was hold blockstrings into Smoke bomb when Sektor doesn't have to, otherwise that would've been a clean 6-0 whitewash IMO.

Yo how many matches straight did Fox need to take off Scar before he thought about changing characters? Was he that unconfident in his Sonya?

Congratulations to SonicFox for winning yet another tournament! A fitting end to the MKX tournament scene for 2016. Also, congrats to everybody who made Top 8. There were a lot of great matches and an excellent character variety, heck, even Raiden was represented in Top 8 (thank you Forever King). All in all, a fun tournament to watch. Looking forward to more tournaments and fun matches in 2017!
