How do u approach the grundy match-up? I know cat stance is grab immune but I really have a hard time against a good grundy.
Yeah I do a lot of j2 because Grundy can't really do nothing about it. His wake ups whiff when Cat-woman does a f3 up close which can lead to grundy to respect Catwoman up close which will lead to Mix ups.

Yea it's not that hard for catwoman to beat grundy. Jump back 2 all day
Grundy cannot play footsies in this mu, the only thing he can do is try punishing careless j2 but even then if you walking corpse on reaction CW can do f1 which is grab immune. You also cannot do swamp hands to keep her in check because if she jumps it she can pretty much j2 fullscreen

If she presses a button on my wakeup i'm doing a WCC and reacting accordingly.

There is absolutely ZERO reason to ever do WC outside of a corner combo.... or to catch a true projectile. And even then, cancelling leads to much greater damage.

As a Grundy you gotta learn to live with the fact that you might lose 90% of your life to take an entire life bar. Thems the breaks.

when i played this MU...... i personally would always try to go for damage trait FIRST.... then health trait. Personal preference.... but typically having the power trait makes shorter combo's worth way more than typical. Then Health trait can cover the damage you'd take from doing WCC.
Granted most people swear by the health trait and that is fine too. I just don't see the benefit of the chip trait in THIS particular matchup (for now).
Too bad we dont' really get to see anyone but Tyrant offline :(

It is still a tough match, wcc is basically all you've got. The thing is superman is played in different ways, a zoner, can be anticipated and broken with patience, whilst when it comes to a rushdown type you're going to have more problems. I use a lot of d2 and standing 2 to try and get the footsies in where possible. Jumping 3 counter and hard knock down work well to keep them guessing. Superman's trait is a nightmare though...

you gotta get a read on how they like to air dash , when you think its a dash forward do a reverse WCC and punish with standing 2 whatever , just adding my 2 cents :)

Interesting... I'm just sick of getting jaw jacked all day lol. I agree with Klesk, I'd rather fight a zoner supes than a rushdown supes any day

Make sure you practice blowing up his wake up attacks, all of his viable ones are punishable with full combos.

I've taken 2 games off of 2 good adam players out of 25 games total, and I know the matchup can't be that bad. I just don't know what I'm supposed to be doing when he's just jumping around like a jackalope lol

You aren't the only one. I feel like in this mu you have to wait until he does a mistake (divekick on wcc for example) to get your damage but at the same time you have to be always moving towards him or else you'll achieve nothing which makes it super annoying. Combine that with his African legged j2 into guaranteed pressure I just don't know what to do myself @Clark Luthor
