IIRC, the black black Power Ranger was really good at dancing, and the Asian yellow Power Ranger was great at math and way into her personal honor. That shit was racist.

At least Black Manta isn't a stereotype, as much as I remember anyway. Probably should've called him the Devil Ray or whatever, but hindsight's 20/20.

I think Black Manta is a much more interesting and badass character, plus he's had more recent exposure - he appeared in the New 52 before Ocean Master and he's been prominent in Young Justice (should never have been cancelled).

Having said that Ocean Master makes more story sense - Superman will want Aquaman out of the way. Why hire Manta to just kill him when he can legitimately put OM on the throne of Atlantis instead?
