Why should i switch a variation to punish one move? Why not make his b1 faster? It really wont hurt making it 11f at all lol. Also even if i can run and do a 50/50 if he has meter he can just do another ex np and im forced to guess if he does or doesn't

I'd reccomend the one that has armor to fight Cage anyhow.

I know you can back dash but im almost sure you can't punish it even if you do , Didn't test in a while though

Sounds to me like you might need to utilize the variation system.

Or, you could just run up and do your 50/50. -14 (I think that's how - Johnny's nutpunch is) would be enough for most characters to at least start pressure if they can't get a clean punish. In Summoner and Sorcerer's case, replace "pressure" with "50/50."

Actually I recently discovered you can punish Johnny's EX nutpunch with standing 2 if you deliberately block the 2nd hit crouching. It is annoying that Quan has to resort to such loopholes to punish certain things, but it is doable.

As long as you remember to crouch block it then yes, works 10/10.

On the other hand I do agree that Quan is up-played because
-People say his neutral is insane but it's not unless b2 is what constitutes to have a good neutral
^B2 is his only footsie tool, b1 is too slow and extremely inconsistent as an aa or whiff punish
-His 50/50 game is hard to implement because of the fact that getting into the 50/50 range is hard because b3 has the range of a nugget pornstar
^Jump in is pretty much the only way
