TBH if you want to kill yourself, you might as well do a teleport or a dash into a slash(depending on the fact if you want to get out of the corner).
Will build alot more meter.
Blood ball: 5.989%
Whiffed tele: 5.989% + meter from damage received to punish
Blocked tele: 14.985% + meter from damage received to punish
Whiffed dash + slash: 11.979% + meter from damage received to punish
Blocked Red Dash + slash: 20.975% + meter from damage received to punish.

I think my statement was pretty clear You won't get more meter if it is already full.
