matterovermind rooftop dusk lags hard

the camera is not as zoomed in on rooftop day, allowing more room to zone. its fucking stupid.

easily testable if anyone would like some proof. if you want to just take my word for it, characters will appear off screen on stages like subway (camera more zoomed in), but will appear on screen on stages like rooftop(camera less zoomed in).

so either way you look at it, all the stages are fucked up. still, with more room to zone makes matters much worse.

as for stage lag, it is easily testable with shadow moves like kenshi spirit, noob's shadow. there are stages where it doesn't lag, like shangs throne and pit night, but i can induce lag on ANY stage i want with reptile's forceball. MAJOR slowdown. that move is a joke.

I always pick kahns throne room for his awesome trash talk. Never knew it was a huge stage. I'll still pick it even though I play characters that get zoned.
But anyone who picks the desert is dead to me for future reference.

It's not like it matters really because people play on banned stages in tournaments anyways and nobody says anything. Or at least that's what I've seen because nobody said anything at mlg dallas not even the refs and I saw banned stages everywhere :eek:

Just Ban stage selection in tournaments. I always felt it was stupid. It should always be random. So should who stays on P1 side. problem solved.

i love Jade's Desert, you bastard :( I probably enjoy more stages than anyone else and i just pick a different stage in general to keep thing interesting, but the oddest thing about me is that I'm a hardcore rushdown player who PREFERS the biggest stages. Fuck that shit, I'm claustrophobic.

All this complaining gets annoying after awhile. Why are we even PLAYING this game competitively if you guys hate so many things about it?

Man its almost impossible to play that desert stage. I play with high contrast and its like playing in a snow storm

People that need to counterpick stages must not have strong faith in their character ability.

i think only stages that inhibit sight in some way should be banned. that includes:
street (cars)
kratos level (shake)
pit bottom (blood)
rooftop (steaming pipes/camera turning)
desert (sand)
bell tower (shadows/ropes)
shangs garden night (too dark)
courtyard night (too dark)
dead pool (hooks)
subway (paper)
(hell is banned too right? i'll go ahead and throw that in too, never really play the level, so idk if there's anything in the way)

all the others should be legal

Consider REO vs GGA Dizzy at MLG. Pretty confident Dizzy would have come out on top had REO not been able to run to Rooftop every time he lost. Apparently stage selection makes you the better player :/
