Seattle,WA Official MK9 Scene General Discussion

So who all is gonna be able to make it tomorrow? I wanna make sure we have everything set up right this time so we dont have to waste time shifting everything around.
I'll be there as always. I'll try not to forget the disk this time lol. Oh btw, I'm not sure what console they're going to be on so would it be ok if I brought your PS3 stick, Great?

yeah bruh, that'll be fine. I'll put the screws back in it so it won't fall apart. I just thought about that, if it's on 360, I'm screwed.

anyone local play live at all, ? unforunately i cant attend LAN's or tourneys atm, would like local connection for live on 360, ANONY1V1OUS, add me

Sorry bruh, I don't have XBL right now. But you should come through if you have the chance for some offline sessions. Let me know what you'd need to convince you and we'll see what we can do.

yeah I do, but I'll have to lug around a stick with the controller just to get it to work. I don't know I'll figure it out. Do we know what time the MK tourney is gonna start?
Yeah it says it starts at 8, doors open at 6. So you'll probably want to get there early for registration and shit.

Hi everybody!

I've been meaning to post on this thread for a while, since MrK pointed it out to me. I'll be running the MK9 tournament at the Best Western tomorrow (Saturday) again: last time, we had 2 PS3 set-ups, with the only major hang-up being that people entered multiple tournaments and not many people brought PS3 arcade sticks to use. Personally, I prefer to play MK9 with a Playstation controller, and I have two dualshock 3's that I'll bring as a part of my set-up. The second set-up last time was brought by a friend of mine who may or may not be able to make it this time, so, if anyone has a set-up (PS3 or 360) that they'd like to bring, we can definitely use it to help run the MK9 tournament more smoothly. I look forward to meeting anyone who can make it to the event tomorrow! <:

I can bring a 360 and game copy if you need it. I'll be jetting most likely after MK, so will it only be needed for that? I don't have any controllers though, unfortunately.

Also if you do want me to bring that setup, what time would be good for me to show up?

I can bring two PS3s if needed but won't be able to lug around our t.v.s But if most everyone plays on 360 will this really help?

Ok, cool! I'm tryna get to Best Western around 6pm this evening to start setting up, but I'm afraid that set-ups may be an issue: last time, I brought my PS3 and 2 dualshock3's, and someone else brought a ps3, a monitor, and his TE stick. I was able to borrow a monitor from someone else, so we had two set-ups, but it did become an issue that people didn't have PS3 arcade sticks to play on. It sounds like we're going to need monitors this time too, especially considering that the aforementioned person is out sick this weekend, and probably won't be able to make it tonight. If you guys usually play on 360 and prefer arcade sticks, I have an SE stick with sanwa parts I can bring, though I personally prefer to play on a dualshock3. I'd rather not play matches on 360 myself, but I can make it work on a 360 pad if I have to, I guess!

...I guess the short version is, I don't expect to have more than one or two monitors available unless you guys can bring them, so more PS3's won't necessarily help. mPariah: it would be awesome if you can bring your 360 set-up, and I'd like to start setting things up a little after 6. Last month, things were a little disorganized, and it took a long time to get the tournament running, but, hopefully, we can get this tournament run and finished before it's too late (last time it ended around midnight). Any set-ups that you guys bring would be for MK9 only, so it's cool if you need to take off right after MK9: that's what I'm planning on myself!

Alright I'll be there around 6:15 or 6:30 with my 360 and game copy then.

Oh and Jon, man, can you bring a couple of your 360 controllers just in case, since I don't have any?

Was a fun tournament last night. I felt like I could have placed better, but oh well. Hopefully we got some new blood to come to the meetup next Saturday. Trying to find a way to contact Cole to get him to come but I can't find him on SRK lol. Other than him I think I talked to everybody about coming.

I am going to Nor Cal Reigonals this weekend but ill stop by next weekend. I think im the only mk player going so ill pass on the word to the rest of the guys around here to check the thread

Sweet, looking forward to it then.

On a side note, we should start running some buy in tourneys soon. like $5 or something with a standard 70/20/10 split.
Also if we do that, I would kill to do a $1 buy in Test Your Luck tournament lol. Shit is fucking epic.

Hi everybody! Thanks to everyone who made it to the SRB5 tournament this past Saturday. Sorry it took me so long to get around to posting here, but I've got the results here:

1st. The Shogun (MrK)
2nd. Cole
3rd. Matsuura
4th. Vilmon
5th. mPariah
5th. StarSlay3r
7th. Carlman
7th. Sistyn

Beyond top 8, I'm not quite sure how the numbers work, but I think it's something like...

9th. Deezo
9th. Greatone
9th. Slash5150
9th. Ray²
13th. Pagan
13th. CongratsIH8U
13th. The Legend Killer
13th. Rough 'n' Tumble
13th. Dirty Rice

I'm not sure about the few match recordings we managed to get yet, so I'll post here again once they're uploaded somewhere.

As for other sessions, I'm not going to be able to host anything at my place this week, and I'm going out of town this weekend, so I can't make it this Saturday. >: I'll post up here when I'm planning something next, though!
