I'm not actually a huge fan of the first design, the gas mask look is definitely an improvement though

I'm sure he'll have some neat gear so now I just need to see some gameplay pronto

It isn't like they can't bring people back to life in comics or anything. Seriously Joker died, and he will be back. I've always liked Scarecrow as a character. He could become the Scarebeast for a super move too that could be cool! I think he could have some cool stuff with the gear system too! He is honestly a better pick then bane, ivy, catwoman, or freeze. I have nothing against those characters, but swampthing, cheeta, and cap cold are in so they don't need to double down on each power set. At least Scarecrow fills a different niche.

Also people are forgetting the story is like an earth 1/2 story. Joker and green arrow both died in one or the other universe and the same could be the case with scarecrow

The pumpkin head one has to be his trait or in his super move after he gives you fear toxin ! The second one will be what you see most the time ! Calling it right now !

I have to be honest, if that's the design they go with i'd be a little disappointed. I'm withholding judgment until the Final Release of his trailer but he does in fact look like an off brand Pumpkin Head. Or at worst, a very bland Scarebeast. I'm not tunnel visioned on his Arkham Knight design (Although it is the best one he's had since the Noose Around the neck look in TAS) But when I envisioned him that wasn't what I expected.

In the back of my head I did think we'd either get a zombie or at the very least a robotic clone created by Brainiac. Though I was hoping that while the Injustice Universe Crane was dead (and so far it looks to be focusing on the Inj universe) that the alternate earth Crane would come over.

Don't mistake it for being ungrateful though I will play Scarecrow regardless of the look. I'm just hoping for something a bit different. Perhaps this will resemble his trait. He gets a prick of Fear Toxin and activates trait then turns into a giant monster to represent the opponent's fear. Again, there are almost no wrong approaches to the character's design in a fighting game.

Agreed. It looks like he's already dead.

I still think it's awesome that he's in the game -- but he looks like someone put him in a deep fryer, and then wrung him out to dry ;)

Plus this may have been suggested in the past, but there's another solution in regards to characters that died in the first Injustice. Whether it was in the game or the comics...flashbacks. Those could feature the dead characters and that way they can be playable without having to be resurrected in the story. They kinda did this with MKX hence why despite remaining as revenants in the story, Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Kitana still had their alive human forms playable in the other modes.

Being the best with a character is always a sketchy ambition, because Sonicfox might just go "lol i'll try this character", and you're fucked lol.

Sonic is disqualified from that conversation on principle. That being said, that title will be secondary to my aspirations for Tournament results. But, still a noteworthy box to have checked off by Game's End.

If Scarecrow is replacing Anton Arcane he better do a DAMN good job of it or imma be mad. Also that means I now 100% HAVE to play him if he is the Avatar of Rot.

I really hope that's not the case. I'm all about the Rot and Scarecrow, but I don't want to combine them. Give me a gross Arcane skin at least

No no no, we need a gross Scarecrow now. They already said it, he's the new Avatar of Rot. So GIVE US an Avatar of Rot. NRS is on my "Don't disappoint me bitch" list. They have sealed their own fate. Bring it.
