Good shit in the tourney, I really need to break down Raiden, tired of losing to that ho:( Glad you came out and like I said, anytime you want to come for games you can crash by my place

Spin: Glad you are taking MK so seriously, give it time don't get frustrated, you'll get good. Main Cyrax, he's a very good char and he was quite popular at Nationals. Most top players respect Cyrax

Agustin: I think we both did pretty well for our first MK tourney. Funny we both lost to the same people, but at least we lost to the 1st and 2nd place guys, wasn't random scrubs

Matt aka Crexius: Nice meeting you today. I'm looking forward to you playing Con and Agustin (you met Agustin today). They both have very good scorpions, they both play different so you can learn from both. And we would all like to see somebody who mains Sindel, hope to see you and your buddy next thurs

Julio: Liked your Kano today. You dropped a lot of combos but I'm sure it's because it was your first tourney w/real comp, either way, good shit today, fun casuals before. Would love to play your Kano more

Tourney setup was nice and had some fun. Real cool of fubar and the rest to make it down for a small local tournament. Here we go with the shoutouts.

Nori: Nightwolf is good, but it seems like some of his moves become useless on certain characters, I think it would be best to try and play without lightning/arrows to learn a new style of play.

Good stuff trying to build a MK community. Having weekly games at your place is a conscious effort to try to create some kind of interest in SA. Anybody who feels like they want to improve their MK game should seriously consider going out and jamming some matches at Nori's place.

Sucks that we have Gamelot to deal with as an option for a venue. Hears to a long reign for MK

I've watched my losing matches several times and after some research, there is MUCH easier combos that do better damage I'm not doing and yeah, I really need to improve my upclose offense/defense. Looking forward to playing your Reptile again, I think we could all use the practice

I hope that was the last tournament at Gamelot. I never really liked that place and I only go to support Brandon and Alamogaming. I understand if you guys have a deal with them but I dislike Gamelot along with everybody else. Is there a way you can host some where else for future local tournaments?

Bla. I just got frustrated with myself on my lack of reactions for the moment. I mean getting caught by Kano's X-ray twice just shows I need a better reaction. This tourney to me was more like a testing waters. I mean its the first real tourney for MK and I know we all will do better as time goes on.

If you can come up with a place that can work with us, I'm all for it. My family's restaurant, Los Primos, is available only so often.

If everybody has a problem w/Gamelot and is asking us to move locations, they should speak to us. As far as you, what are your issues w/Gamelot? There is lots of space, everybody has room to watch a tournament. You can PM me or reply here, whatever you like

New Tier list (according to Tom Brady)

Full patch coming in about two weeks that will include other nerfs such as Smoke's OTG (I believe), Kabal's Block infinite, Cyrax's Bomb trap, and some possible other slight adjustments.

Along with this patch will come netcode fixes, and DLC of klassic kostumes and Skarlet. Kenshi will not be released at the same time.

Brady's tier list after hot fix(today) and patch(coming in 2 weeks):

S tier:
cyber sub, raiden, kabal(block inf), kano, cyrax, nw, cage, ermac, kl, sub, shang, sindel(reset inf)

A + tier:

Great meeting you guys, and I want to apologize for my total scrubbiness, at least YMK was holding it down for Kano players. I don't know how much of my sucking was from unfamiliarity with the 360 pad or what. But i had alot of fun, I'll be sure to continue going to tournies and hopefully to weekly hang outs. the only way to get better is to have my ass beat. I will definately invest into a ps to xbox converter in the future.

I dont understand how Kabals f+3-2 dash cancel is considered an block infinite. Betty when we gonna play some more!!

edit: nvm + frames on f+3~2.

Shang in S tier? Say huh? He's cool and all, but other than morphing with damage boost, he's limited by his EX meter. Weird.

Shang is the only character with a completely unbreakable high-damage bread and butter. The fact that he can do >40% with just fireballs is a huge asset. Even the 25% or so he usually gets is great.

Next, consider the fact that Shang deals extra damage in morph mode, and most characters B&Bs do 30-50%. With Shang's power-up, those B&Bs will do around 20% extra, so 50-70%. That means Shang is the only character in the game that can kill you in two combos with no wall/no meter.

He is one of the strongest in the game without a doubt, expect to see a lot more Shang in the future. People just need more time to learn the whole cast before top players start maining him.

Shang Tsung is one of those high learning curve characters. I've been in training room with him and hes definatly got the goods

but what about when he gets rushed and knocked down? I dont believe there is much he can do then besides just basic defense. nearly all of his moves are safe, but slow. Wake up EX soul steal to get him out?
