Combo List - Smoke Robo Smoke Combo Thread

offline after SB hits i do njp slight walk 4 ST 4 trident but with online lag the second 4 doesnt hit, whats a good smoke toward midscreen post smoke bomb for online? even 21 seems unreliable

Just a note- opponents can always tech regular throws if they mash buttons while being comboed. Standard throw tech animation and reset will occur, even if they're being juggled.
Yup. This is why I'd like to see if B1 2+4 will connect. I just need time to get back to my damn PS4. Stupid real life...

I just don't do them online to many lost matches. Live by the swag die by the swag
 
What are your thoughts on invis so far kj? I noticed u used it pretty well last time we played , although the f12xxexinvis is kinda gimmicky cuz u can be hit out , you did catch me with it lol
i do it when i LAND f12 rather than doing it on block to make it slightly safer, and its good because people might start poking to see if you went inv and sometimes ive smoked away and papop trident goes the weasel or njp etc

Not safe on hit either , f21 is only like +9 on hit or so and ex invis is like 31 frames if I remember correctly so you would be -22 frames after ex invis.

This is some Smoke stuff, mostly vortex, useless to say that to kill you can mostly end with S4 DB4 or F43DB4. Well I hope you will enjoy it. I'm going to do a third one, with "Mind games", some other combos as well

theres a cloud of smoke for ambiguity and if you get enough respect for the extra low hit/smoke away/etc they cant just go ham. Im not saying its the safest thing in the world but ive done it a few times and gotten away with ex inv cross up punch into mixup ftw

This is the Smoke combo thread. I will endeavour to keep this original post updated. As smoke is a new character, we can expect combos to be constantly changing; at least for the first two weeks.


Combo notation is the standard notion. You can find it listed below.

ATTACKS
1 – front punch (fp): square on PS4, X on Xbone
2 – back punch (bp): triangle on PS4, Y on Xbone
3 – front kick (fk): X on PS3, A on Xbone
4 – back kick (bk): Circle on PS4, B on Xbone

DIRECTIONS
u - UP
d - DOWN
b – BACK (away from opponent)
f - FORWARD (towards opponent)

JUMPS
j - jump
ji – jump in (Jump towards opponent)
nj - neutral jump (Jump directly up)
njp – neutral jump punch (neutral jump + 1/2)

OTHERS
~ - cancel
xx – cancel
(ex) – indicates EX version of a special
(MB) - indicates a MB version of a special/move

pretty sure after bomb u have to make a small dash in before the standing 4 or it won't connect..
 
Check out this meterless combo video i did which involves as much optimization as possible on almost every starter :) the comboes go from easy to hard and the harder the combo the more damage u get.

Mate, it doesn't involve "as much optimization as possible", your combos with F4D1Up2 are sheet for example. And why people post combos starting with Jump in everytime when you mostly get the combo by a punish or an open thanks to gimmick and +frames not respected? JI2 S4, ok but ji2B3.. C'mon. Anyway sheet. (Sorry If I'm rude but I need to work on my vocabulary).

lol does the jump in matter? it doesnt make it not optimized if u dont do it lol. i do a j1 b3 because people start comboes with b3 since he has a vortex so thats another starter which is popular. f4d1u2 is a great string to use after u block a d1 for example cuz its a 10 frame mid. and again yes the j1 isnt what people use in game but it does more damage for the video, but if u dont do the j1 its still optimized.

Big gripe for almost everyone on this site including me. If you're gonna post combos, don't list damage with a JiP just to make your combo look more damaging than it really is.

I wasn't Talking of you but people in general. When I said : your combo with the starter F4D1Up2 is "sheet", I wasn't saying that you can't hit it. I'm aware that it is a really good string -_- I meant your damages are "sheet". I Can hit between 37and 40% in the corner with that. (no jiP).
