It's their choice if they don't think they're going to win, so I don't think that much thought should go into this. They're playing for themselves, not the crowd. If anything, they just underestimate their own abilities.
I meam if youre in a super animation (not including a needed follow up) or something along those lines yeah. Its literally in the EVO rules that the winner can even unplug if they want if its inevitable defeat.
PL vs KDZ at CEO is one of my favorite Injustice matches of all time. If you didn't see it, it ended with PL getting supered and winning with a sliver if life. Would never have happened if PL raged.
I do it sometimes because I know I lost and want to spare myself the "rubbing it in" of actually watching it happen. Sometimes I let it ride to have those extra few seconds to plan my next match strategy. But I generally don't unless it's a Super animation or I'm down like 150%
My main problem with this is when the winner starts doing it. I like taking a bit of time to assess my loss and regroup. I had one match where I lost and put my face in my hands to think and regroup. A couple of seconds later, I look up and the next match has started and I'm already down 25%! That to me is the height of disrespect. It should only be the loser that has the right to restart.
I don't understand the point of this thread. It's completely the player's choice if they want to pause and rematch or not. If they do it in a situation where their opponent could drop a combo and they can come back to win, that's their own damn fault. If you want to do it, then do it. If you don't then don't. What's the point

Collecting everyone's opinions, I didn't realize that people need to chill out and collect themselves.
It's interesting reading everyone's stand on it and their point of view on the whole thing.
While a comeback could have happened, I can understand why they did it in order to mentally prepare for the next match.
That's the point in case you couldn't figure it out.
