Gesture Required Ahead

Get on that hook
I volunteered from treadmill's MU Project to cover the Raiden MU.Head over there to see my DISCLAIMER.

Round start
Just like most match-ups, the beginning of a round is always a huge Rock-Paper-Scissors game.In Raiden's case, the safest option would be just...block.

Raiden will not scare Reptile with overwhelming rushdown nor zoning due to his build. His goal at this point would be to get a life lead to sit on.And to do this, his safest option would be to dash in and do F24 which does 4% damage.

Raiden's riskier options would include mix-ups such as:

-334 / 33 x Teleport / 33 x EN Teleport: 334 is interruptable by elbow dash between 33 and 4. 33 x Teleport is full combo punishable(122 > combo) depending on the Reptile player's reaction time.Elbow Dash would be the easiest punisher though it would only do 11% and will not discourage teleporting as much as a full combo punish.33 x EN Teleport is near safe(punishable by Elbow Dash while still behind) and might even throw the Reptile player off his game but it does spend meter for the Raiden player.

-B321 / B3 x Teleport / B32 x Teleport / B32 x EN Teleport: B321 is interruptable by Elbow Dash between B32 and 1.B3 x Teleport and B32 x Teleport and B32 x EN Teleport has the same punishment options as 33 x Teleport and 33 x EN Teleport.

-1212 x Teleport / 1212 x EN Teleport / 1212 x EN Lightning: 1212 all hit high so it's poke-able.If the Reptile player choose to block 1212, the Teleport and EN Teleport will not be punishable. However, the EN Lightning has its own array of mix-ups.The 2nd Lightning can be neutral duck but it opens Reptile up for Superman. When blocked, it lets Raiden re-do the whole mix-up cycle.

Reptile has risky options himself if you want to play more offensively.Though be warned, you will not dominate Raiden with offense only:

3 / 32 / 321 / 321 x Acid Hand / D4 / D4 x Acid Hand / D4 x Fast Forceball / 1 / 12 / 12 B1 / 1221

3: Hits high but also crouch block, 0 on block

32: Hits mid, 0 on block

321:Hits mid , 0 on block, can be hit-confirmed into full combo

321 x Acid Hand: Longest and safest block string.Leaves at -4 on block with push back.Builds slightly over half a bar of meter due to 4 hits + a Special Move

D4:Hit low, 0 on block

D4 x Acid Hand:When fuzzy guarded, does 3% chip. When D4 hits, does 6%.When Acid Hand hits, does 11%.If both hit, does 14%.When hit while in mid=air, does 12%

D4 x Fast Forceball: -11 on block with slight pushback. If Forceball hits, Reptile can follow with a full combo.

1:Hits high, 0 on block.

12: Hits high, 0 on block

12 B1: Hits low, 0 on block, +4 on hit.

1221:Last 2 hits are overhead, -10 with slight pushback on block. Can be converted into full combo by dashing and then doing a F2 x EN Fast ForceBall.
