Even if it would be on EH or SRK most ppl would still not know what happend exactly. Which is the same case here.

And there is a general problem how ppl try to make there concerns heard/complain about things. The entire MLG thing is a good example for that and this Topic might be too. Depending on what happend exactly which we will not know until Bit, Pig or BigE say anything about it.

Unless they did something specifically against tourney/venue rules or somehow cheated during the tournament, a ban is never warranted for disagreements or speaking of one's mind. That's completely absurd.

I am not slandering EC tournaments. I have nothing against any of the TO's because i have not yet had chance to travel to the NorthEast to play videogames due to athletics. I am speaking off my personal observation.

@GGA 16 Bit has made it clear on various podcast that he is perfectly fine with not attending East Coast BigE majors (His feature on the On Blast Show when discussing the issue with Ray Riazy being my main reference).
If they want to ban people from their tournaments for "slander" or negative propaganda or whatever it is, that's fine. It's their tournament they can do as they wish no matter if some see it as unjust.

However, I know @Vandy has been working closely with the NRS community is motivated to have the best run tournament possible. And also can take constructive criticism well. (Not saying BigE doesn't but this banning of Steve and Brant to me seems kind of extreme. Then again if that's how they want to run their tournaments.. that is their choice.) KIT was ran by Vandy and has been said to be one of the best structured tournaments by the ones who did attend. I have only heard good things about Vandy run tournaments. If 16Bit and Pig want to exclusively attend tournaments run by @Vandy and the West Coast TO's that is fine too. I look forward to attend as many events as i can. I think that people shouldn't be excluded for speaking their opinion but if that is the case then people should know that fighting game tournaments are not monopolized by BigE and people have options to support who they wish. Not saying BigE majors are inferior to Vandy tournaments but it is clear that some have an issue with those tournaments but, are not getting reasoning behind certain choices made during the coarse of the tournament or why there were stream issues. And it shouldn't be a personal attack on the TO's and shouldn't be taken as one

I agree that people have been fired from jobs for way less....But that has absolutely nothing to do with this situation, at all. Pig and 16 Bit were not EMPLOYEES who spoke out and got fired. They were essentially customers who felt the service was not up to par and spoke out about it. They PAID to compete. What person in their right mind would not speak out if they paid for something and then had tons of problems with what they paid for? Its like @HomeLee1121 said about the customer in a restaurant. So when you say someone would get fired for way less, sure they would, but since they were 100% not employees and were 100% participants, its their 1st amendment right to speak their mind. It was never stated in any tournament rules that you would be banned if you spoke your mind.

By banning them we are basically saying we now can not speak our mind and have to tip toe around the subject if we do not agree with something at a tournament. Lets face it, 16 Bit and Pig Of The Hut were DEFINITELY not the only ones speaking out about the poorly ran tournaments, so why would they be the only 2 that got banned?

Its ridiculous and we as a community should not stand for it. If we let this stand, it just shows we can be treated like shit and will do absolutely nothing about it. Just my 2 cents.

These tournament runners can go fuck themselves. We have a right to know what kind of tournament experience to expect if we're planning to pay our hard-earned money to attend these events, and the notion that we should not be informed consumers is absolute bullshit. Pig and Bit and everyone else who attends these events have every right and a due diligence to warn us of a negative experience we might not wish to waste our money on next time around, as well as to inform these tournament runners what needs improvement if they want to expect better feedback in the future. For people to be punished for vocalizing the issues they've encountered at something they've taken time off work for, made travel arrangements for, and paid their own money for is fucking disgusting. I hope nobody attends another one of their shit tournaments again.

Im going to be that guy and ask what does them being7 evo finalists have to do with anything? Good shit on them for getting top 8 but why does that matter? It doesnt relate to the issue at all. Plus, it's not about what unbanning them would achieve (as I guess you could argue there will still be a ton of high level players with or without them), but it's about what BANNING them achieves. It sets a dangerous precedent: you can get banned from a tournament if you speak up against the problems you've encountered when YOU paid money to travel and YOU paid money to participate.

All I am saying is I think its screwed up to ban someone for speaking out. However, it is their tournaments and they can do whatever they want. I am not saying people shouldn't go to these tournaments, if people want to go, then go. It just sends the message that having a problem at a tournament could end up getting you banned, which then makes players scared to speak their mind in fear of getting banned. We should not be afraid to speak out about how we feel a tournament was ran. Without us, there are no tournaments. It just shows a real lack of respect to the players when the people who run the tournaments say "Lets just ban them", instead of saying, "Okay, we admit it, we screwed up, what can we do to better the tournament experience?".

Other have spoken out aagainst big e and shinblanka tournaments but bit and pig are getting all the heat cause they have big names.
