I'm not a tech guy or had that specific issue, but speaking from experience with PS2s and PS3s, I've fixed a variety of funky problems by cracking them open and using canned air to blow out a bunch of fuzz and crud that accumulates inside. I've even found dead bugs inside one and other stuff I wondered how the heck it got in there. It just happens over the years that gunk gets inside there. If I ever had issues with my past warranty PS4, that'd be the first thing I'd try. Plus, you could see if there were loose wires or something.
