Pre-MLG Dallas Interview #8 - Perfect Legend

To coincide with the hype brought to the table in the last interview with CD jr, here is another that is quite possibly the most hype interview of the lot. This NRC double-header continues with the one and only 2x EVO Mortal Kombat Champion, Perfect Legend. He has yet to win an MLG event, and all signs are pointing to him going into MLG Dallas as he went into both EVOs. In this interview, PL and I discuss everything under the sun: a Kung Lao mirror match with CD Jr, why he thinks Cyrax is the best in the game, his performance at Seasons Beatings, his matches with GGA Dizzy, he lists who he believes are the best players with certain characters, he blows up CD Jr for his recent comments about his Kung Lao compared to PL's, we talk about Tekken and DOA, gross, Pig Of The Hut, REO, he gives shout-outs to the GGA crew and MUCH more. Carl kind of sounded like an asshole in this interview, lol. Probably not the way he meant it to sound but I thought it was funny.

Especially since Johnny Cage can punish saw and db2 with f33 nut punch combo forcing Kabal to have to use meter to breaker then Cage gets in again it’s over and it’s not hard to get around Kabal's gas blasts I don't care what anyone says.

I wonder how it would end up if he did met cd jr, pl is still the better kung lao but a lao mirror match is ass and stupid, it really could go either way.

In fairness to both PL and JR, I think they realize that the purpose is to create hype and they played along (not that they didn't mean what they said). PL always maintained that hype is the most important factor when it comes to fighting games. That doesn't mean I didn't shake my head or laughed (for better or worse) at some of his comments though.

This on the other hand, is absolutely true. We can say whatever we want, but nobody can ever take the above away from him. He won Evo, stopped going to tournaments, got blown up, returned, got crucified for not making top 8 at MLG...then stuck a middle finger to everyone by winning EVO again.

Holy shit, PL broke character! I guess this is "Carl" speaking and not "Perfect Legend." It's really cool though and is a refreshing change of pace from other parts of the interview (which were awesome, don't get me wrong).
