Ottawa MKX Thread !

I'm trying to revive the old MK9 scene we had in Ottawa for MKX and hopefully grow it if possible. So if you live in Ottawa/Gatineau area are and looking to get MKX for any console or PC feel free to post on this thread. We will try to find a weekly place and time to practice and hopefully level up.

Hey Abo, good to see there's some interest for this game in the Ottawa area. I don't know if you remember, but we had a few gatherings at Matt's place back during MK9 release, and I left the scene shortly after. :)

Have you heard anything from Essay or Rainbow?

I talk with Matt evey now and then he says he is buying it for PC.
Scott on the other hand, I see regularly, I fix his vehicle and we hang out every now and then. He decided to get it since they revealed QaunChi.

So I hope we will have a bigger scene this time around and I wouldn't mind hosting.

Gentlemen, I'll do what I can to come out and keep current in the game and all, but understand I'm deep enough into the competitive Guilty Gear scene right now that it's going to be challenging to set aside hard time for coming out for it when I'm already training and travelling so frequently for GG. I'm at Algonquin College every Thursday for the gaming club meetups, but that's with a PS3 and monitor for Xrd. If you are able to bring the pieces, however, there are always players (including me) and space there Thursday nights.

I can bring the Ps4 and Controllers but my 50" spare TV wont fit in the room according to Essay. Anyone wanna join and supply the TV?

Welcome guys. We definitely welcome you to our local scene.
We will be setting up a weekly date @ Algonquin College starting next week.I also will be hosting @ my place for a selected few ( can only fit so many people in my Condo).
If anyone else can host let us know.
We will be playing on a PS4, arcade stick and Controllers supplied as well.

Last night there was an announcement that the college's gaming club might not run next week. With Krackatoa graduated, this summer will depend on what the two SF guys taking over for him are doing. I'll post in here what I find out from the Facebook group.

Hey there, I live in Nepean (across the street from Algonquin College) and have been looking for a good Ottawa scene for fighting games.

I am the scrubbiest of scrubs but am definitely looking forward to the opportunity to practice and learn more. This is my first (competitive) MK game and am really loving it so far. Please teach me your ways

Hello, I've been looking for some Ottawa players. I am down to play whenever as long as I'm free. I currently have MKX on PC but I will be getting it for PS4 eventually.

I'd love to join, but unfortunately I'm working night shifts until the 30th so my only available days to play are the weekends. Will update as my schedule changes.

Yea, good games to the boys from last night. Shootouts to getting to go a little longer before having to put time into netplay to feel half-competent at the game.

I'll ask around and let you guys know if the regular general fighting game meetup at Algonquin is running tomorrow.

Oh, the irony. I'm driving to MTL on Saturday for fighting games, but I won't be attending this. Kappa

Smashloft is a good venue though and anyone else with a car and freedom should gather up a group and go. Street parking's free and easy in that neighbourhood, and playing Zaf and Jer will level you up fast.

Hey guys, Shane here, made my account finally. Good playing with you last night! It was alot of fun, hopefully we can do it again soon. I am going to try to be active on here to. Hopefully I wont corner myself constantly next time around!
