From gameplay perspective I love Raiden for it's teleports that gives you: some sick looking, timing based combos; TP lets you get out of the pressure (for example:Kabal's dash); Easily get close to zoning characters; TPs also let you to get out of the corner and get right behind your opponent - basically making him a corner "victim" himself.

As a character - Raiden is a thunder God and that being said his TPs give you that feeling of a lightining fast mofo who just looks really great with some of his enchanced tp combos / moves.

I suppose it's the move he uses in his trailer to launch Kotal in the beginning of Displacer demonstration.
Not sure if it'll be a good anti-air since we can't really see its hitbox, and besides I wanna bet that stuff like air-invincible state or partial (ex.: upper body) invincibilities won't happen in this game. But that's just a guess.
If you ask me, anything is better than MK9 VB.

Isn't that definitely going to be ascending thunder God? That move looks fast and has the perfect arc like batgirls df2 and flashs db3

I want his range and good mix strings to return but they can't have a long startup. The big thing is that he now has a decent low starter which isn't easily predictable like in his mk9 22b4 string

I just hope that his vicinity blast doesn't whiff right in their face when you special cancel again.

Raiden top tier? I wish that would be the case in MKX, but I honestly doubt about it.

Being able to teleport to different ranges is changes him completely, if he has strong normals and a bit of offense he could be an obnoxious runaway character in displAcer. In master of storms it could prove to be Ann effective turtles in some mus

studied some Raiden mkx matches on YT this am and his d1 looks incredible... excellent range and works very well as aa too.... of course we need to wait on frame data to see how good it really is.

Don't know if this is new or not but Enhanced version of the master of storm variant special move places two points on the screen really fast. Also I love his block animation.

He doesn't have to hurry, he has all the eternity.
It's interesting that they included MoS in the stream, gotta watch it ASAP. Although probably I won't see answers to my foremost questions there. What happens if Raiden "ignites" his traps while opponent stands in them, blocking? Will it fizzle immediately or it will work as GG-esque lockdown for Raiden to attempt to open people up? Go, go f4/d3/d4/j-whatever/empty jumps into low... One can dream.
Probably won't work like that though.
