He asked whether or not diagonal jumps are generic. The answer is no, they're not generic anymore. In MK9 everyone flipped in the air, but in MKX some flip, some don't - hence they aren't generic.
oh that, that is true, but they still have the same arc, viasually they're not generic, but technical in therms of gameplay mechanics they still are, but that is not a bad thing and i'm actually ok with this.

Fujin and Ermac for MK 11
I thought mk 9 raidens fatalities were cool, the busting off limbs one was cool.

This one was awesome, screw the haters lol

Those traps, I'm wondering how many orbs you can put out at a time. He did one move that linked the two. I'm curious if you can fill the entire the sky with them and just connect them with one move.
Or One side of the screen to the other be would be cool.

If feel like people are jumping to conclusions about displacer being the be all end all of Raiden. What if storm lord lets him place orbs like MMH does? Or what if his other variation does insane chip damage on its electrocution string finishers? Only time will tell if one variation bests the others.

I agree, but displacer looks like a ton of fun already. I'm not a fan of mmh so I hope that's not the case.

I think it's more about the possibility that people always played Raiden for teleport first and foremost, not that he was notable for anything else in MK9. It's understandable that people are happy to see at least one Raiden style kept what they see as his defining trait and even expanded on it.
Besides, teleport combos are cool. Comic-style superspeed beatdowns got nothing on that :p

"Mind Over Matter" I dont mind, and X dont matter
Displacer might allow us to go heavy on mind games style. I do really enjoy this style so far. I believe none the less Raiden will be at least higher mid tier, which is good enough to go along. Maybe a pocket Scorpion....and the fun starts.

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
all I think it's that the Storm Lord variation seems to be under some .... underestimated feeling .... that traps can be deadly in corner and mid screens .... and if well used, can deny or diminish some serious mobility regarding the opponent evading/advancing options

I may end up being the most interested in Storm God. Those traps and the command grab look so fun.
Is it confirmed that his trap variation is the only one with that grab? It looks like it could be in all variations and serve similarly to Kung Laos 211+3

My only complaint about Raiden is the fatality. It seems a bit too cartoony. When Raiden starts electrocuting the opponent's face their head should catch on fire and the eyeballs should pop and the goop should ooze out of the sockets...

All too easy...
Not sure if this was posted anywhere, but look at how fuking rediculous this hitbox is:

Best get the hell off me move Ive probably seen if that radius around him is the actual hitbox, probably the best wake up option in the game so far?
