Betting on the Kombat Kast showing D'Vorah, Kitana and Cetrion. I think they'll save Frost for Game Informer to drop a random trailer next week. Then covering Shao Kahn and Frost gameplay/last minute stuff next week before launch.

Damn NRS. Why they make Kitana not special? i prefer latina. now she is Asian and that takes away all unique things about her. now she is just Liu Kang's bride i guess. i do not want mileena in the game if she look Asian too. Kitana? More like Asiana.

There is a straight to dvd movie coming out tomorrow called “black site”.

Here is the summary:

As someone who's vocal about Jade having to keep her dark skin in her canon iterations, I can understand why some people aren't all that happy about this change. However, at the same time, if Jade had more Asian features but kept her dark skin, I would've been completely fine with that!

I think I'm being a lot more acceptive and open to these changes for both Kitana and Sub-Zero is because of the knowledge we have of their origins. Kitana's original concept design was supposed to be a lot more Asian inspired and her name started out being Kitsune.

Her depiction in the games were never Asian though, so again, I completely understand why there are people who feel this change is unnecessary or outright wrong. For some it might be some struggles with racism poking at them (which is an issue they should work on), but for others it's about consistency. That's how I feel about Jade, personally.

It takes time for people to adjust to these changes. And that's alright! A lot of people have trouble embracing change, so give them some time to get there at their own pace. And hopefully they will. There are some who won't though, and that's unfortunate, but not much we can do about that.

Ilove this Kitana more and more, still prefer her MKX costume, especially the awesome hairstyle.

As sarcastic as your comment is, I agree with every word of it. When I saw that they made Kitana with more Asian features in MK11, I was like "FINALLY!"

I've never seen Kitana as a "White woman" at all, and I've honestly never associated a race with her, BUT her looking more Asian makes sense. Her new look really reminds me of her MKSM look.



If you ask me, Kitana in MK11 has never looked better.

I’ve been bitching about her doing nothing but standing there for the past four months, then they go and put her in a hype ass TV spot.

I’m so happy lol

It could have been Scorpion vs Raiden/Sub AGAIN, but they went with Kitana... I just can’t get over it ^_^

 

I understand people who don't care or even like that Kitana is now asian. What I don't get is the people who don't seem to understand how someone could have a problem with the developers changing the features of a character that has existed for over 25 years.
