You still insulted for no reason other than your own ego stroking. That alone is enough. And no, I don't play sets, I do play KL sometimes, and you can seem a couple of vids of me on my channel. Even if I was playing sets, I am not gonna play with you. If you are gonna take anything into caveman like fights, you are only proving my point.
What?

It's a fighting game.

People settle beefs in the FGC with se-holy shit.

You've never played or even been to a tournament, have you?

Anyway, I don't consider me making fun of your overly long posts to be a terribly scathing insult, I just think you're soft.

"Cavemen like fights" and we're just talking about playing a video game. Wow. Fascinating.

Right back at ya, because that fits more to you and almost everyone else here. You are projecting yourself.
I mean I definitely am usually correct, so you’re right about that. Thanks for noticing buddy. I knew you had it in you!

i came across this old thread during the course of my daily rummaging and thought it was too hilarious to not share

My case of me being mistreated by Tom Brady

well, actually i dont wanted to log in on this scrubby site anymore, i was summoned and triggered by roy akron though.
today i would like to point out, that roy akron definetely deserves to get included on mk-server trash. that site must be updated somehow.
because roy akron has to be the worst mk poster of all times. i mean of all times (pre / post mk9 likewise)
i mean he even surpassed epic, historical shit posters such as mkf30 himself. you are reading right: he surpassed mkf30!
since we are witnessing an historical person on an historical moment (roy akron) i felt like i had to log in one last time on this scrubby site in order to post this very important message
i laughed really hard at this too. shout out to mk server trash

There is a defiant thing, particularly in younger people where they confuse criticism with critical thinking. The idea that being positive, is somehow a mark of not being able to understand something. It is absolutely true that TYM sees negative posts pretty often, and has since MK9 days. It has nothing to do with any individual game. It is also absolutely true that while negative threads are given credence, a positive thread is basically dismissed. Worlds like shill, contrarian, phrases like "stirring up trouble" and stuff is thrown around... when the thoughts and threads are basically identical, but from a different perspective. There is a hypocrisy at work and I think it is pretty common in fandoms, not just fighting games. I blame social media. The "algorithm", the "monetisation" of negativity has taught 2 nearly 3 generations of kids that being overly negative is actually how discourse on a topic works. This thread is an example. A previous thread trashing NRS, got no reaction, a thread being positive had mods of this site trying to shame them in chat box. It dose not matter if either thread had good or bad points or made a good argument or not, the point is one is tollerated and one isn't, and that is unfair.

I agree with the first half of your post. I don't agree any mods here are trying to shame someone for "being positive" at all, though.

What positive thread are you referring to?
well that is kinda my point... very few are made any more. People that come here as they love the game that is currently in cycle, log in. look around and never come back, and others who have been here a while know there is little point in making an effort to post... so they don't.

Our issue is about your attitude and your addiction to insult me, not your skill at the game. Regardless who wins, it doesn't change the fact that your attitude sucks. That's why it is a caveman-like fight, because this attitude problem has nothing to do with our skills.

And FYI, I've been in tournies before. Yuzu Cup 2 for MKX (2017), Viennality for MK11 (2019), multiple ESL MKX online tournies post season 3 that even though there was no money there I still came to them twice a week just to get better and for the love of the game, and also coming to almost every MKX local in Israel.

These days are behind me, I don't think I will compete in another tourney.

Indeed, sadly this behavior in TYM has become the norm so much that when they see ANYTHING that is not that they are so shocked beyond any belief. Like when I said in that other thread why I love MK1, almost everyone came to me with laughing smilies to mock me what I've said.

And yes, people are moving away from this site because of this attitude.

Thank you very much for proving my point, digging an old thread just to make fun of me, this is the issue with this site, too many jokes at the expense of everyone.

Oh and @Juggs, good job at showing how much you lack in empathy with your latest status post. I was mad then, just like I now, because you were NOT nice. Even if you are trolling, you really embarrassing yourself.

Okay but you said that “a thread being positive had mods of this site trying to shame them in chat box”. Just wondering what thread you’re referring to there and what mod was trying to shame them?

I mean I said that you were an asset to this site and you threw a tantrum. Like, you legit got more mad that I was being nice than when I’m not. You also said some pretty fucked up shit but hey, I won’t hold it against ya buddy! You seem to think anyone being nice or complimentary is just them being sarcastic or trolling you. And yes, I do have empathy, because that’s really sad. It likely means you’re not used to anyone at all ever being nice to you. So you see attempts as some sort of a trap, setup, or unblockable mixup

Oh shit, really?

I traveled for NRS games as well. I've been to UFGT8, KiT, CEO, Absolute Battle, Red September, among others. Always drowned in pools, tho.

Look man, you can say you're a coward. It's fine. Nobody cares. Nobody cared when @YagamiFire ducked me. Nobody on this site outside of a small handful actually play. @Kiss the Missile and @PrinceGoro just lab tech, too. There's a space for that.

You don't need to cap so hard.

People largely moved away from the site because Forums like this are suuuuuuper outdated.

Everyone uses Twitter and Discord now and have for well over a decade because that's where the people are.

Times changed. People grew up. People moved on.

Except you, apparently.

Exactly. The only actually popular forum is reddit. And reddit isn’t dedicated to one thing or has a theme. It’s basically the forum of everything. So it makes sense that it’s still super popular. I don’t use it but people reference it all the time and I know a bunch of people go there for a bunch of different things.

Anyway, yeah, it’s just far better and easier, especially for top players with followers or content creators, to just communicate with their fans or other players via a discord (possibly their discord), their twitter, their Twitch or YouTube comments. Or to chat with other top players and share tech and what not just between them. I personally dislike this especially when it comes to the NRS scene. We honestly aren’t big enough of a competitive community yet so imo it’s in the best interest of everyone to share as much tech with everyone, publicly, as often as possible. The goal should be to build the community and make it larger. The more players that there are that really feel like they can compete means that the more competition there is. This isn’t going to happen, at least not anywhere NEAR as quickly, if only the top players are discussing the game behind closed doors amongst themselves and only having sets with one another. But this is absolutely another topic for another day.

Then why are you even here? Why is anyone here anyway? If almost everyone that post here don't even play the game why even be here?

That is partially true, other forms of social media are way better, but the fact that this site still exists and yet almost everyone here keep only trashing the games, and almost everyone here don't even play the game, that is not how a fan site is supposed to be.

You are the one who hasn't grown up, and so are the rest of the MK bashers, both in and out of TYM.
