NRS.. PLEASE fix the input drop bug!!!

This is just gonna end as soon as NRS employ at least 2 guys for each country where they hear that the Power on Mortal Kombat ITS ON, not just power in MK9 no, no, power in Every MK, where they know the love to play the game, see the Glitches, see the potential of the game and not just from the same country, even others countries because having at least more than 6 guys who extremedly play MK as Hell this 6 guys will find everything in the game, will give every suggestion in the game, will say their opinion and will show strong in the game... just like japanesse peoples do.. namco it´s not stupid, Capcom Neighter...
 
i HATE when this bug happens to me!!!! I go to aa someone with an uppercut or d1 and get a standing attack and eat a jump in combo. sometimes i am already in crouch.. HOLDING DOWN!! then while HOLDING DOWN i press 1 or 2 and my character stands up and does a neutral standing attack.



can someone from nrs come in this thread and say if thi sis fixable or if its something we have to deal with till MK10. I just want to know if there is hope or not.

But I have NEVER noticed this issue offline (I play on PS2 pad via converter). Online? Sure...I've missed my inputs from time to time because of latency.

But offline I have NEVER NOT DID a standing or crouching attack, when I wanted to. No one in the MK community does more dash cancel low pokes than I do (it's part of Sheeva's meta game).

But I will trust in you guys that this problem does exist. And I seriously hope that NRS does everything they can to remove it.

My biggest issue on inputs in this game is Negative Edge. And that shit has got to GO! Completely! It's the one thing that is preventing this game...in my book...to be 200% perfect (currently 193% perfect out of 100%). :p

Digi, I'm pretty sure we're talking about negative edge lol. Lets say I df3 with Sindel quickly...I can only go so fast before I just start punching lol. That's what I'm talking about anyway.

hmmm...well the way Reo and Warda explained it. They made it sound as if their directional inputs aren't registering in the first place. Thus standing attacks on accident.

Which is a difference.

Because Negative Edge is solely based on the combination of a button registered to be pressed down, and directional inputs registered after said button is released, to execute a special move.

About "inputs being dropped" (Sonya is my Main) When i do dive-kick into 2 1 Cartwheel very fast, the cartwheel doesn't come out..But when i do dive-kick 2 1,Pause, cartwheel it always works! Because of this i now use dive-kick, 4, Cartwheel to avoid the problem. Don't know if this is a bug or if its just my poor execution.
As for the standing 1 ,2 or 4... This has never happened to me. Maybe its because i hold down before i press 1,2 or 4. Isn't it POSSIBLE that you guys are mashing the button before you press the direction?

I for one love the negative edge, have no issues what so ever with it.
i think that if they remove it? they will mees up some combos, respectively those like scorpions, rain, ermac and others with teleports.

Yea that's what I'm talking about. My bad for not explaining it thoroughly.

EDIT: Never mind I'm talking about the first thing. Further up I talk about doing certain moves at quicker speeds because I'm so use to them and they don't register and I do something odd like a standing punch. Do you play with Sindel? Hit up practice mode and do her projectiles as fast as you can without messing up yourself. Watch the inputs on the screen...you'll see.

It is possible. Go into practice and watch your input commands. If it says you done it in order and still no wheel then its the bug you're experiencing.

I've been hit while blocking quite a few times. I thought my stick was broken. That is until I saw it happen to the dummy in training mode. Had him on always block while practicing the NDC. The dummy would get hit out of block a surprising amount of times. This was on the 360.

I've had the same thing happen with the dummy in practice mode. In online matches I could swear sometimes my block randomly fails but I always blamed it on myself or maybe my controller acting up. It would be nice to know if this is a real issue... it seems to be but who can be sure with so many variables at play.

When the health bar is depleted on a dummy in training mode it lets go of block for that small period between the first and second health bar.

I do her fireball with no issues. I didn't know if u were talking about air or ground ones so I tested them both. Zero issues. I can make a vid of this if u want lol.

What we really need are videos from offline games from both consoles POST PATCH. Some of this might be negative edge stuff or lag, so those need to be eliminated as a factor. Thinking about it, I don't believe I'd have the d1 --> standing 1 offline, but then almost all of my play is online so..

I just did that, exactly as u stated it ("HOLDING DOWN then WHILE HOLDING DOWN for d1 you get a standing attack") for a minute straight and didn't stand 1 a SINGLE TIME! *tested with Sindel*

...just sayin.

Okay NOW I want to see proof of someone ducking fireballs and being forced to stand ROFLMFAO.

I'll tell you this though, here's some testing I did:

If you're holding down on the d-pad and you...

- tap up on the analog, on the controller...the characters doesn't jump nor do they stand up lol.

- hit up on the analog + a button...they do a standing attack.

But there shouldn't be a reason your controller d-pad inputs register as u pressing the opposite on the analog...unless there is something seriously wrong with your controller. But through this testing...I don't see how inputs can just RANDOMLY DROP or be created lol.

I'm starting to get real leary on the this input drop stuff, real talk. =/

Edit:

And mind you some fireballs WILL hit you while you are ducking. Sheeva's EX fireball is not only a Mid...it's an OVERHEAD!

Since I play 99% of the time online, I attributed those scenarios described to lag and input delay. But, if the problem happens offline as well, then it absolutely has to be fixed.

It did. Many times. REO was getting murdered by the input bug. It caused Erik Warda to miss a bunch of nomad dash cancels because of it. Klassy Sasquatch has about had it with the game because of it. I played a bunch of casuals with RIU48 and the very first move I tried to do was a D4 and I got a standing 4 lol.
All these guys have great execution, once in a awhile you mess up, everyone does. But not to the degree this crap was happening. Alot of this stuff becomes more noticable the faster you play the game. The game cant handle being played at high level speed.

You could hear Klassy on the stream .... and yeah it is a rather annoying thing.... and very noticeable. Especially when you guys play on streams. I see it happen and go "HAH... i'm not the only one".
