They're tied to your gamer tag when you log in to games with your wbplay account you get content like in Injustice you got a flash skin for logging in on your wb play account. I would assume that operating on that principle they can access data on your online history in the same way they access it to give you special wb play content.

I never signed in for the raiden skin, so I hope it recognises all the time I played, although I played most of my time on PC, I still have played PSN online too. They are both linked to my email address, but not sure if it is linked to my wbgames profile.

Take this with a grain of salt, but on the beta sign up site, there's a part where it lists the steps to sign up for the beta and it actually says that the beta codes will start being sent out as early as this week(the week of Jan 18). It also says that as soon as we receive the code, we can download and play the beta right away. Don't quote me on this though, I'm not too sure about this either.

It shouldn't be a problem, they're sending codes to email addresses. If it worries you so much, just change your WB password.
