Damn I missed the LB post

When is the next time anyone is going to lb's. Ill make the trip I have 2 other friends thatll go also. Lets get confirmations'n in early.

Keep me posted on Friday guys. I have off this Fri , so I am down for some gaming. I am also planning on hosting a few peeps either this weekend or next week. I have to set ups running at my apartment. SF4AE on my pc with two TE's and MK running on the cabinet with 2 pdps. We also have a ps3 hooked up to a big screen that people can play whatever ps3 game they feel like as long as they bring it over. My roomie did not take kindly to my suggestion that he should buy mk9 and ae for the ps3 =(

Edit: And sorry I missed out on Tuesday, didn't hear back from you guys so I figured I was wrong about what night it was happening on.

Ok, up to you guys where you want to go. I'd say lets go to local battles on friday, and then talk about the weekend there. The 10$ deal starts at 730 and runs through 3, so whatever time is good for everyone we can go.

Oh and that setup sounds nice organelle, def. want to come by and check it out some time.

I won't be able to hit LB this friday, I'm thinking of going next friday after 11pm. But if you guys want to do something on the weekend I'm game.

Ill be there around 8-9. Its a really nice place, I was impressed. I am going to talk more with the owner's about us having mk session's there each Friday since he made Friday fight nights $10 for the FGC. I recognized them both from ECT & wanna help get the word out since they just opened 7 months ago. They sponsor Chris G so he is there every Friday night to play against. They also plan to do a tourney on 7/22 so things are in motion for the MK community in NJ. We have alot of good player in south nj/philly & north nj/nyc/li area so I hope we can unite them with a place to go on Friday night. I know the problem I have is I work 40-50 hours a week & cant really do anything mon-thur night, but there is never anything gong on fri/sat night except majors once in a while. This will be great for most as everyone is usually off Saturdays & can stay out late. Its from 6:30-3am so there is plenty of time to game if you have to drive for it.

If someone has a spare Madcatz TE I could use tomorrow, I sent mine out to get dual modded. Thanks

Hey all!

It was great to meet some of you at our last Salty Sessions. We hope to see more of the North Jerz/NYC MK community at our store. We have casuals every Friday night. Pay $10 and play from 7pm to closing (3am).

Also, just wanted to give a heads up that Local Battles is be hosting a MK9 tournament with the brackets being run by 995Phil. It will be Friday, July 22nd. Casuals start at 5 pm. Tournament starts at 6:30pm. Check out our website for more details http://localbattles.com/salty-battles-iii/.

So I never really updated my status on the mission to get mk9 at the break. So as of now the break runs mvc3 and ssf4 ae tuesday nights starting at 930/10 o clock. this is organized by kdz who i spoke to on tuesday. He thinks it can't really happen on tuesday with the other games due to it being so crowded. he did tell me the only way the owner would be willing to let us run tourneys for mk9 at another day or time would be by making sure people get there.

The break is the last legit standing arcade in new jersey, they have pool tables, a grill (4 dollars for a break cheese steak, fries and a drink = GODLIKE!) lots of arcade games from pinball machines to dancing games.

this is a great venue mostly because the venue only takes 1 dollar out of the 10 dollars it cost to enter. (9 bucks for the pot for EVERY player) vs the standard 10 for venue + 10 for entry/pot (20 in total)

So the options I see that I could bring up to the owner would be to either:

A) have MK9 on a different weekday

B)have mk9 on tuesday but started alot earlier. Like 7 o clock



what do you guys think?

Awesome job hooking that up man. Personally I won't be able to be a part of that, as during the week I'm working. So for now I'm gonna stick to Local Battles for the time being, as it's local and such.

They have a fantastic space with pleanty of room. I'm gonna come up with an exact date and time tonight and post on all the forums. And I think right now the venue fee is going to be 5 but I'm gonna see if I can talk him down

Awesome. Gonna talk to the owner later today (thursday) but I think we're shooting for saturday during Evo. Not too many players here are flying all the way to vegas so I think it'll be a good turn out. Spoke to a few people today and that weekend works for them. I'm also going to make sure we watch the stream no problem so we don't miss any action.


I'll keep you guys posted and make a thread for the tourney tomorrow
