Noob Saibot vs Bi-Han

Is it just me or is everyone (including the OP) ignoring the fact that his name isn't Noob Saibot anymore?

It's just Noob now.

Has been this way in MK:A and MK9 both.

So the question isn't Bi-Han vs Noob Saibot, because Noob Saibot isn't on the table at all. It's Bi-Han vs Noob.

You seem to be ignoring MKX dialogue:

"Noob Saibot's whereabouts are unknown". He still has the Saibot part. Same as others don't include the surname on their lifebar/selection screen.

Edit: Oh, and a lot of his MK9 moves were named after Saibot, hinting at Saibot being the dark side shadow that made his revamped moveset so cool and that's returning in MK11 as its featured on his character tower.

It's a shame that the word "noob"has evolved to be a meme. But Noob Saibot always sounded to me like a ninja of the night name and fit him perfectly. Plus the double identity he has as a former lin kuei that turned to his dark side entirely is really great. Me personally, I'd forget about Bi Han entirely and let him be an MK myth like The Great Kung Lao.

I've always thought his name was rather silly. And even more so now. I had hoped they would've changed it to him being called Bi-Han instead of Noob Saibot, but I guess it can't be helped. He'll forever be a Noob.

The character's full name is Noob Saibot. Ed Boon still calls him that, all the wikis call him that (and Bi-Han). Even his character forum here calls him that.

Sonya's name is actually Sonya Blade. Most people just use Sonya because it is easier - it's the same thing.

The health bar calls him Noob Saibot, in full, in MK11.

Noob is the guy you control and Saibot is the shadow he sends out as attacks.

It’s like that successful actress who played Ferris Bueller’s sister. She was popular in the 80s, but she had this weird, distinct nose. Once she was famous, she got a nose job to fix her goofy nose. Then, suddenly, she looked like every other asshole auditioning for parts and faded into obscurity.

You’re trying to give Noob that same nose job! You want to give him a Noob job!!! You want to take goofy-sounding but distinct “Noob Saibot” and change it to utterly forgettable “Bi Han”, which just sounds like the title of a spicy Star Wars fan fic. No thank you.

Of course, Boon could be having himself a giggle, but I actually think it's pretty likely.

1. It's an appropriate way to reference the name's origin.
2. Various attacks that use the shadow in MK9 have the word "Saibot" in it.

That said, Saibot is still a part of Noob himself, so "Noob Saibot" is still an appropriate name. One man, two bodies.

Never liked Noob tbh. Found him cheap in UMK3 and MK9, absolutely hilarious in MK D, A with his Monkey style, this time helooks cooler.
Bi-Han was an asshole and we don’t need him. Younger is the best Sub-Zero there is.
As for the names: I didn’t like both Sub-Zeros original names so they should leave them as Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero.

I don't really mind. Heck, my favorite Dragon Ball characters are called Freezer and Cooler. S'all good. As long as he's not named something like "Extra Clusterfuck" or something totally ridiculous, I'm fine with it.

And imo, Saibot sounds badass.
