Agreed, I wish they would have kept Helfer too she was perfect for Sonya and Canadian Politics have a way of ruining things and just uselessly pitting people against each other it's sad.

Ronda wanted to play Sonya, so that`s that. And Boon seems to like Sonya.
Johnny is everyone`s favourite boomer and i think he`s in top 5 most popular characters overall. So he`s nort skipping this one.
Cassie along with Takeda and Kotal were newcomers that people actually liked, so she`s in as well.
So far everything seems fine to me.

It was shitposting, but it was very high quality shitposting. A fairly long, detailed and thought out theory, written at the best of my abilities.

Unfortunately it got removed from r/MortalKombat as well, r/MortalKombatXXX was the only place my post called home. A home that unfortunately got removed from reddit sometime between then and now.

It now only exists in my memory.

How Ironic is it that Sonya is now one of the most commented character threads? Much because this one?

Now, more seriously, not commenting on Sonya specifically, but char threads don't have, necessarily, big merit on how "wanted" a character is; and TYM in general, is not representative of character popularity.

Personally, I'd love to see a LOT of characters who are probably NOT gonna make it, but, still, I wish everyone did not talk about their personal wishes as categorical truths.
It's almost never a "singular opinion" and always what "everyone" or "no one" wants.

I'm the opposite. I liked her in MK9, but didn't find her fun to play (probably because she was quite hard and it was my first serious fighting game). In MK11 though she not only looks amazing, she also seems to fit my playstyle quite a bit. I miss the red hair though.

I was never good with her, but I didn't care b/c I was having fun. Maybe they'll find away to make everyone happy RE costume, but her face if fugly. And anyone involved in changing her hair color from that blood red should be in jail.

I only pre-ordered because Sonya Blade is included. She's without question my favorite. TBH, I have a lot of reservations because MK11 looks nothing like Sonya (terrible idea with Ronda Rousey), but hopefully they'll fix it before launch.

The only negative thing about her reveal was the same MKX skin for me.. The other 5 returning characters had showed up with totally new designs but she just appeared with her MKX main and Klassic MK3 looking. They are cool costumes too but new game needs new designs that i suppose..
