Again people coming for sonya because she’s ‘boring’ yet fails to understand she has fans. Why can’t sub zero or and scorpion skip a game? No one complains for them. The roster is barely female as it is, the more the welcome.
We all know Scorpion and Sub-Zero aren't going to ever skip a game again, so there's no reason to even discuss that. It shouldn't count for any other character though.
Nobody will complain if Kitana or Mileena come back from MKX let's be honest. The target seems to be Sonya because they dont like her personality and find bratty Cassie more entertaining. Even though she's always been popular and is considered A-tier by NRS, people are "shocked" that she's back even though out of all the females she's been in the most games along with Kitana. Makes zero sense for her return to be shocking. Not to mention the impact she's had on a lot of people who grew up with MK, look and Ronda for an example.
So why can’t sonya become a staple female? She’s been in since the beginning and is basically the chun li of mk? But that’s a problem apperently. She is popular especially with casual gamers. I love a lot of characters but I’m not going to complain, she’s basically THE earth representive.
Honestly, as much as I love Kitana and Mileena, I wouldn't mind either of them to take a back seat from the main roster in MK11 and then maybe be DLC instead.

The hype for Skarlet is because people liked her in MK9 but I don't think ever really expected to see her return.
Well to be fair, Sub Zero is way cooler (and literally cooler) than scorpion. So.
I get not wanting Sonya, I didn't want her either, but let's not take the chance to spread hate. Calling Ronda trash seems way unnecessary.
A lot of people liked her from MK11 itself. Her new look got her many fans it seems, and for good reason.
Her new look is also getting trashed pretty heavily. Its too early to say if people like her for MK11 yet, since very few people have had a chance to play her. I thought he was fun to play in MK9, and had a great design, which was why I wanted her back in later games. I don't like the new design though, but maybe she'll still be really fun to play, so I'm still glad she's back, but still a bit disappointed so far. We'll see at release though.
I'm the opposite. I liked her in MK9, but didn't find her fun to play (probably because she was quite hard and it was my first serious fighting game). In MK11 though she not only looks amazing, she also seems to fit my playstyle quite a bit. I miss the red hair though.
Same. Besides, she made a mistake and she apologized for it. Holding grudges, especially towards someone you don't even know, is hard on the soul man.

In 2014 there was this whole outrage that Fallon Fox, a trans woman, was able to compete against female MMA fighters and Rousey said that even if Fallon gets surgery, she's still biologically a man and thus has an advantage over women and if she won a championship it wouldn't really be a woman winning it etc., which I completely agree with. Then there was this whole thing where she shared a conspiracy video about the sandy hook shooting. She took it down and apologized.
So that's what the fuzz was all about? I was just mad that Sonya's old, more talented, voice actress was replaced for marketing reasons.
